VT Deluxe Talkbass group purchase?

so i'm sweating my ass off at my outdoor gig today, and got a message from my wife just before 8 pm that i t came in. so tomorrow's gig in stamford will be my first chance to work it. damn you fed ex!

but i've got it all velcroed up for my road board, and it's very cool. one very nice surprise was the parallel out so i can run a tuner. i also got all my programs roughed out so i don't have to do much tweaking at the gig.

anyway, so far, so good. can't wait to rock wwe city with it! now to get a shower, read the manual, and go nighty night so i can get up at 5 (ugh!).

My board is looking much more handsome and much less bare...

Does the VT Bass Deluxe add any subtle compression to the sound? Just wondering I ordered one today. Also is it better to insert the VTBD into the EFX return on a bass amp in order to bypass the preamp eq? Sorry for so many questions.

o.k. I have had one on order @ sweetwater for months now and after reading the updates on here just found that theperfectbass had (4) in stock yesterday and I didn't get around to ordering it from them, I went to theperfectbass to order today and they are now sold out and waiting for more... damnit should have taken a moment yesterday to order it....

just got here. GNAR!!!!

..... haven't had time to PLAY through it yet. i'm at work, which is 2 doors away from my house, so i had time to run over and velcro it down. and take purty pictures.

in about 2 or 3 hours i get off and have 2 or 3 hours where my wife is at a play with a friend in the city... alone... to be loud before practice tonight. NICE.

gonna take a minute to dial in.... i was using a VT into a PBDI before.

WOOT!

*happy dance at his Kesslari Shrine*

i'm not going to bother with the effects loop, i think. i like it better going straight in. easier for me to think in terms of separate pedals than several on one switch.

anyway, this thing kills! about to post a review thread for people to give input.
