Yeah - yours? That whole thing is really unique - the crackle finish on the neck was really unusual but pretty awesome as a whole package.

Thanks! Nordstrand mm2.4 pickup and Aguilar OBP2, vol is active/passive and switch is series parallel. Its way more versatile than I thought it would be.
It's going to have three DiMarzio DP127s, the ones with two rails per half. It won't have a preamp, instead it will have a Turnstyle Switch (the link goes to the first bass on which they did custom work for me). I will have full manual control of each pickup when I want, and it will also have five voice presets. And it will have stereo output. Top it off with all black hardware and DR Neon orange strings, and it will be unforgettable.
I'll be happy to, but it's kinda on the back burner for now. Other stuff happening.

Yeah I like . I actually installed those myself as there were no dots when I got it . It was super easy to do . I have the charger light and they seem to glow for a few min and remain dimly glowing for a few tunes . I would not want to charge them up every tune but still they are cool .
I'll be taking delivery of my Warmoth body today. I'm still torn on exactly what direction to take it moving forward, but maybe a thread full of people who have been there and done that can provide some useful info and opinions.
The body is a short scale G4 in swamp ash. My plan is to do a Tru-Oil finish on the body. Where I'm hung up is the direction to take the neck. I ordered the body only at first because I wanted to see what affect the Tru-Oil has on the look of the wood. I've had a surprisingly hard time finding anything online showing someone applying Tru-Oil to swamp ash without any sort of stain.
The two options I'm considering are something sort of standard looking with a flame or birdseye maple neck and board, black fret marker dots, and chrome hardware; or something more unique/boutique looking with a wenge neck and ebony board, no face fret markers, and black hardware.
I've leaned heavily toward wenge/ebony from the beginning because I really love the look of the dark neck and headstock. I'm just not totally sure how well that dark neck is going to pair with a lighter natural finish wood body.

Cool! Maybe look into getting a roasted Maple neck with Wenge fretboard. It will still be fairly light and look good also.
I have that combo on one of my Warmoth medium scale P's with Abalone dots and I like it a lot. i have Birdseye/Birdseye on the other
Wenge/ebony is a great combo. For an idea of how it looks with an ash body check out Elrick and Warmoth

Are those Nordstrand NP4A pickups? If so, are the with AlNiCo III or V?

Cool. My understanding is that AlNiCo IIIs sound nice and smooth but develop some grit when you really dig in. Very interested in trying these pickups one day.

I love the warhead headstock. I had them do that on my 34" P neck. I emailed them a couple years ago about that & putting that headstock on a regular-scale neck used to carry a $65ish upcharge - it was a free change by the time I ordered my stuff in June.
