It does though MT. The original case, which was found lacking enough evidence of tacit insult with the name to carry on, was later taken up by a social worker (red flag) and kids (red flag) were used to re open the case. Since then the PC element has run with it making it a hot topic. If you care a poo to look at the real driving force you would see it is, indeed, a very direct result of widely active PC elements. The generalism you accuse me of is on purpose. There are strict rules to this forum. Dig a little, give a poo and find the engine that drives that vehicle.
Then we can discuss. Hopefully in a more respectful tone.
Ah now we're getting somewhere. I will respond to this since it is relevant to the case. It has gained momentum thanks to kids, yes, and that is what's giving these folks the power they need to get the name change done. It wasn't working before because the lady was "too old to represent the feelings of current Americans" or some such. However this is irrelevant; you can get behind the fact that you find the "PC machine" distasteful to blow right by the people who have actually been affected by the name. Do Native people actually find the term offensive? Apparently some of them do. How many? Which tribes? I don't know for sure. I've stayed out of this whole debate for about as long as I've been alive because I'm not one of them. One thing that is certain is that the name "Redskins" was born purely of racism. And if enough Native people say it should be changed, then it should be changed
