Gonna be a whole week if that heat here! That's why I'm heading up the Gatineau to the cottage and will spend as much time IN the lake as possible.

I'm in Chicago and my ac stopped cooling on Thursday. I'm getting a new unit put in later today. I worked from home yesterday while waiting for the tech to come. It was toasty! Summer of 92 was hot too and my apartment then didn't have ac at all. That was tough.

I'm currently on a 9 day stretch of work in Shreveport LA. 8-12 hours a day always outdoors besides a few minutes here and there in vehicles. It's been consistently 97-100 degrees everyday. I hate the summer for this reason... but the pay is good and I'll be off for 6 days so whatever.

Heat is no joke. Stay hydrated!!!

Played a gig opening for George Thorogood yesterday in 95 degree temps outside, with 87% humidity. George stayed in his AC RV. We had a back stage area in the sun, with a porta john. Good times.

Going to be a rough week for sure. Camp out in libraries,malls etc if you have to, and keep lamps and other heat sources off. Drink lots of water and take regular cold showers if necessary.

35 degrees scheduled for Canada Day. I've played at that temp. but it is NOT fun.

See, this is why I can't get behind the Celsius scale. 35 is April, just above freezing but Most of All, 99 degrees is HOT. anything above 100 is stupid hot dry or wet, a 100% humid 95 will kill you because you can't get rid of heat from sweating, it's the "wet bulb" temp.

Ill take the sun and humidity any day over the bleak Northern winters. I dont mind hopping in the pool and sipping a few brews to cool off. I do mind freezing and shoveling snow for 5 months at a time. To each his own.
