We do not experience this very much, do we?Played last night outside, downtown Niagara Falls, NY. Was about 83 at start time (7PM) and was not really that sticky, so had no issues till about 9:00, when the lights came on...and the bugs....Oh, the bugs...probably appeared to have some kind of spastic condition at times, swatting at my head while trying to maintain the groove

Wow and my sympathies to all who have to play in unusually high temperature venues. Been there, done that and for some reason most venues never seem to have the AC or fans directed at the stage, which always feels 10 degrees hotter that the rest of the venue plus you're generating you are own heat playing your heart out.
Don't hate me but.....our show tomorrow 3pm to 6pm has
our forecast for Sunset Beach, CA is 70 degrees at downbeat around 3 pm and probably dropping a few degrees by shows end 6-630pm. Nice cool breezes and ice cold beer. Oh, and we'll get paid to enjoy this delightful show.
"Sweating is good for you, cleanses out the impurities from you body"....just keep telling yourself that during the show......

You're lucky. Here in the Seattle area it's highs in the upper 60's with rain today, tonight and tomorrow.
Only 95 in Tucson today. May have to throw a hoodie on.

Same here....we had an outdoor wedding reception gig yesterday afternoon. We had on long pants and a button down shirt and the BL was wearing cargo shorts.Played an outdoor gig yesterday. Directly west-facing. High 90s.

Playing a Canada Day celebration today. Forecast is 110 F with the humidity figured in. We're on a barge, on a lake and in shade. Heard a rumour there is industrial cooling fans coming but I'm not worried, I like heat. Been preparing for the past couple of days.
Breaking all the rules today......shorts and sandals. Bathing suit for breaks.........jumping in the lake every time we break.

I think maybe the Irish folks have it figured out..I saw a Tee Shirt here just outside of D.C. It said.

Buddy Guy played Milwaukee summerfest last night. Pretty toastly up there too. Him and his whole band... in pants. Actually, I can't confirm about the drummer. But everyone else was in pants.
BTW, if you get the chance to see him, definitely do it. He has way more energy and talent than you would ever expect given his age. I never saw him in his "younger" years. I can't even imagine what those shows must have been like.
