What did you learn today?

(Prostate cancer) Radiation treatment doesn't hurt at all...not even a tingle...in and out in 20 minutes.
They even give us our own parking pass. They know we'll only be parked right outside the front door for a few minutes at a time.
Disappointed by the fact that I won't die without a tattoo...3 of them, actually...little pin pricks, ink under the skin. That's where they aim them good beams... :thumbsup:

I'm drinking a Sprite right now. I love cold fizzy drinks in the summer.

Most of the time I'll put some ice cream in it and make a "float".

Today I learned the music for "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" because I heard Angela sing it on Mr. Robot last night and she really did a great little job of it in a very cute way.

I've been learning about drugs in sport… It's a vexed issue,

If it's your child, or your nephew or your niece or your grand-daughter, there's one who takes these banned substances, and dies. And you only have to look at the results of what happened in East Germany and the outcomes that the athletes that took banned substances during those years are enduring now. We know now that there are millions of young high school students taking banned substances like human growth hormone and steroids, just to look good. And parents out there don't even know this is occurring. Parents don't even know the damage that the children will suffer. And so I think elite sport has got a role to play in ensuring that society is aware of the dangers and aware of what occurs with doping and takes a stand. […]

My mom told me to go out and lift the horse, so I went outside, gave it an apple and told it a couple of knock-knock jokes. The horse kicked me over "there" and then the paramedics had to come and lift me onto a stretcher.

I used to find flyers all over the place about teaching English in Thailand, when I lived in Chiang Mai. I worked there for a year in 2006.
I enjoyed it, but I missed the beaches.
One nice thing was a break from the heat. The rest of Thailand is like a roast oven during the month of April.

I stood over the ironing board at 4:50a, and my baby boy sat down on the couch.
My first thought was "Wait a minute! You don't get up for another hour!?'
He says..."Daddy, I think I just got offered a job in Thailand!?"
The first words out of my mouth ..."Great...............like Thailand, North Carolina?! Indiana?!"
And my 20 year old Son looked me right in the eye with such a look of Wonder on his face, and said "No, Daddy... Like Thailand...Like Cambodia, like Laos-Thailand!"
That is a moment I will bring Happily to my grave!!!

I learned that we have spotted material, a star or gas or something, that appears to be approaching the black hole at the center of the Milky Way. We should be able to observe what happens as it approaches the event horizon which is pretty crazy.
