What did you learn today?

You might have ink but you're not a dork.:)
Thanks. :)

I was taking a shower and I realized I'm doing all these things for myself that I didn't even consider for the last 6+ years and I'm loving it. Little things like quality shampoo, taking good care of my new piercings, washing the makeup off of my face - I hadn't even worn any in years until a few weeks ago. Doing my nails. Feeling worthy of self - care.

My therapist is going to love me tomorrow... Lol.

I can relate to that. Yesterday I went to the dentist to get a broken tooth looked at. It broke when I was married, but we couldn't spend the money to fix it then. Now, I decided that I was tired of the pain, and it's getting pulled tomorrow.

That's among a million other things where I get to decide the priority as opposed to asking permission. So I understand completely where you are coming from.

Right! And in my case I was so depressed for so long I just couldn't care about taking care of me. And now suddenly, I feel better, I feel like me, and I want to take care of me in all the little ways possible. It's pretty great.

I'm about to see my therapist now. She'll like this.

Art of Science winners focus on the beauty of the human body. A lungful of breathtaking beauty to behold but 'no bigger than a grain of sand.'

I used to Live on Altoids!
(I was desperate to hide the fact that I smoked most of a pack a day...from my students...)

LMAO...I used and still live on them (Cinnamon till my recent discovery) to hide smoking from my fiance. I had to put on a sweatshirt and all this other crap to hide it. Was a PITA! Also wore a sweatshirt on 100-degree days to protect my clothes from the cigarette smell. It was when I was a smoker that I welcomed the cold.

Now I am smoke free, but I have to tell you, I do miss it. But when I smell someone smoking or a smoker in general, I am glad I no longer do it.
