I had this...wish I still had it. Served me well for around 8 years...Guild Madeira. Short scale, neck heavy, sounded great.

Sorry to say, but it is lost in time. I recycled the parts later on. After I had a cheap Jazz copy to reverse engineer.Pics? Enquiring minds, along with former art students, want to know!

At least I can take comfort in the fact that, in the process of making your music, you have to repeatedly stomp upon a Dalek.
Squier Jazz VM. One of the best sounding jazz basses I've ever played. Those "duncan designed" pickups are the real thing...
Mine was a Univox factory second (tiny bit of paint slop-over on the binding) rebranded as a Maestro. It looked like this:
Really nice little bass that my parents bought me. Unfortunately, I never got to play it out of decent amp, and knew nothing about giving it a proper setup, so I never got to appreciate it's true and full value. I do know that it played nicely enough that it inspired me to keep at playing the bass. I really wish I still had it, now that I have e good amp and could set it up properly.

1977/8 - ordered a brand new Ibanez Ric copy. Took around 4 months to arrive. Identical to the pic below with the brown case. I sold it around '79. Circa '80 got an early 70's Ric.
Had one too, wish I still did, worth a good amount more than anyone paid back then for them.

That band did gig, 3-4 times a month for years. We had a manager and were very tight. The singer went on to become a Grammy winning Tejano artist in Texas.

It was a Yamaha 170 dx, or something close to that. What I remember most is that it was black, and I didn't have it for long.
73 Pbass bought around 1989 for just under $300. I swapped out the pickup for Quarter Pounders in the early 90s, no idea where the original pup went... at that time it was just considered old, not "vintage". Man, I wish I still had the original pup now.
