Which do I keep?

Keep the Carvin SB5000 or Sire V7 1st Gen?

Why not just keep both if you enjoy playing them? If you absolutely have to get rid of one, I'd keep the Carvin if you like the neck better.

Or is this just a ploy to make space for (and fund?) the Squier fretless you desire?
I have decided to change the relief on my Pedulla neck to see if that will get me what I want instead of buying the Squier.

I think it would be much easier to unload the Sire versus the Carvin. Also, you're probably likely to take a smaller loss on the Sire versus Carvin, so economically the Sire would be my choice to sell.
I bought the Carvin used so I could break even most likely if I sold it. The Sire came through a trade. I guess it would be worth $500, not counting shipping, or a net $400 if shipping is included in the $500.

Didn't see a poll option for sell them both.

In any case, working on the setup for your Pedulla sounds like a great idea. How many different string types have you tried on it so far?

I have never played, touched or heard a Carvin. However, based on the experiences of three of my friends who bought Carvins and got rid of them pretty quickly, I'm not excited or impressed by them. I have written this before and have received hate responses from people who like Carvin - - but I've made it for a long time without one and I will make it without them for as long as I'm around.

So - - I voted for keeping the Sire.
