And to break up the proggy thing I've got going here -

I saw a video of The Who's performance at The Concert For New York City. When it got to Roger Daltrey's climactic scream near the end of Won't Get Fooled Again, the camera panned out to the audience and all these first responders, cops and firefighters etc, had their fists in the air screaming with Roger. It was pretty powerful.

There are lots of songs that give me goosebumps, but I experienced one strongly today. I was driving in the rain. listening to Yo-Yo Ma playing Bach's Suite #1 in G Major (Unaccompanied Cello Suite), and the rising climax at the end always kills me. I was completely transported in that moment.

" It's your turn to cry" by Bettye Lavette as well as her version of the Who's
"Love reign o'er me" ( see you tube for her live version at the Kennedy Center)
"Dark end of the street" Ry Cooder w/ Bobby King and Terry Evans.
I gotta bail, I could spend all day on this list.

Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor Op. 27, No. 2, Mov. 1 aka The Moonlight Sonata...very spooky.

Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35, Mov.3...also very spooky, it should be, it's THE funeral march.

A few always get me:
Papa Was a Rolling Stone - Temptations
The intro is just so well done, as is the whole song. Great use of orchestration, in an era when it was often either overdone or done poorly.

So What - Miles Davis
Again, a great intro (love the bass), and then Miles' horn comes searing in...

Us and Them->Any Color You Like - Pink Floyd
Incredible songwriting and production value and execution.
