Why?

I have no idea what piece of music that was or how many bpm it was cranked up to, but that was fast.
I was impressed.
(I chuckle at the remarks about how it was "sloppy")
I just listened to it on crappy cellphone speakers, so can't really remark on the tone of the bass, but I could hear it and just make it out against the background music.

Playing at that speed is a skill I never managed to learn.

I'm impressed that anyone can play that fast, remember all those notes and get them in the right order.

IMO in this video, while the performance wasn't fault free, the positives far outweigh any negatives.

Not understanding your comment. Sounds like you read a few posts on the first page; then determined anyone who posted in the thread was ignorant; is that correct? Or am I missing something?

I wonder why, because outside of maybe some constructive criticism there's no need & he didn't ask. Some flaws of course, but I didn't hear him state that his version was the bomb.He's not Nils, not Jaco, just another player trying to do his best I assume.

The tone sounded fine to me.

I practice playing lines like these ("Freedom Jazz Dance", "Yardbird Suite" etc.) to improve my fluidity and precise intonation, etc.
I think I do pretty well, but I wouldn't want to have my results dissected for my efforts. Just my .02.

Nice tone, shame about the execution. Way too fast, anyway. Play it at a tempo where you can nail it, and post that.

must be the hot s.... in the studio without the need for any drop-ins. It really isn't the easiest thing to do at all straight off the bat with no mistakes straight into a camera, imo.
