Hold on now,...this is my first scratch build. There's no guarantee it will look anything like the drawings.I know my low grade assembly isn't anything near as detailed as what you all are doing, but
Just edit your drawing to match what you end up with and tell everyone it came out exactly as intended!Hold on now,...this is my first scratch build. There's no guarantee it will look anything like the drawings.
There's a good chance I'll have to fix it all with lighting and makeup at the end.

Vaseline on the lens softens it up. Old fillum trick. There's a good chance I'll have to fix it all with lighting and makeup at the end.
I am trying to get it up and running before the start date! I keep telling my wife "I CAN'T help with the kids, the build off is right around the corner!!"Yeah, but the rules say that if you don't finish your workshop, you can't enter.![]()

I actually read all of that. I started reading and got invested in the story before checking to see how long it was.....Actually, I had stuff to do at home and left work on time, which is early for me, at 4:30, to beat the 5pm traffic rush and it all jammed up at the very end and I almost got stuck anyway, so took a detour which was longer, to avoid the backup and still got home late and it was extremely windy all day, so I had to spend some time tying stuff down and then I went in the basement to get something before taking the puppy outside and she followed me downstairs and pooped and peed all over the basement in the 12 seconds that I had my head buried in a tote, looking for a part to secure the garbage can lid with and while I was cleaning up, I noticed the cat litter box needed cleaning (not usually my job because I'm allergic) then I washed up and ran upstairs to take an allergy pill and use my inhaler and the inhaler was out, then sat down to take a break because I couldn't breathe and realized our football team was playing Monday night football, so I started watching and before I knew it, it was 11 pm and never actually did a single thing that I left work early to do.
This is a typical day for me.
And not to make excuses, but I've had some weird GI stuff going on for the last year and I run out of energy pretty quick. Not sure if it's related. Probably. I had an exploratory procedure scheduled back in November to see what the problem is and they canceled it while I was on the table and sent me home because during the 4th round of questions they asked if I ever experienced chest pain and being the communicative and literal person that I am, I said yes and explained that I get short, mild little twinges in the connective tissue between the ribs of my upper chest on occasion, but no heart issues. They freaked out and said I had to see a heart doc before they touched me. Whatever.
So, I was feeling extra crappy all weekend and didn't get much done around the house and planned to do it today, because we had to stop building our new home 2 yrs ago and it's been sitting for 2 yrs while ours and the builder's attorneys send each other an email about it once a month. Our attorney finally filed a counter suit and they immediately said they wanted to meet at the house to assess the damage and reach a settlement. So I need to get out there and clean up some of my mess in the garage from working on the exterior over the last 2 yrs and get a few other things in order.
So, I'll stop and get the brass and aluminum some time this week, if I don't forget.
And I tried really hard to make that one long, run-on sentence but I could feel my 8th grade English teacher wanting to wack my knuckles.
