The bass that is going to be raffled off. I purchased some tickets, and was pretty much guaranteed that I was going to win this bass. It wasn't exactly said in those words, but pretty close.

And...wait...WHAT! Someone else won the Hammersmith bass?!?!? I think this whole thing was rigged because I was supposed to win!

You can see in these pictures that he keeps his eyes down, because he knows the shame and deceit that went into preventing me from having this bass.

I do wonder....seems a lot of people set off to be a luthier and they decide to make fender style basses.

I know they sell but I'm surprised how many brands are offering it. And often with no personal style or technical touches.

I do find it pretty amazing. Most seem to make pretty much exact replicas, other than the headstock. I know craftsmanship varies, but don't you want to stand out at all? Gotta hand it to Gibson. They showed up this year with a new CEO, simplified product line, and a completely new bass.

this is how you know they're saving costs wherever possible - with proofreading, I expect, the price would have gone up to $ 2,000
