Worlds First Drum Machine in Pedal Form!

I you want something a little more flexible you can program drums with midi using slate drums or superior drummer or whatever you want and put them on a digitech jamman. Most drum virtual instruments include pre programmed midi in various styles and many different types of kits. I really like the deftones models on my slate drums. This is also a good way to go to an open mic jam by yourself or maybe with say just bass and guitar have some fun. It's also great for practicing when I dont feel like breaking out the laptop to use virtual instruments

I realize you are getting a TON of suggestions that you could integrate, and this could easily get out of hand with suggestions from every direction. I like that you guys are including MIDI.

I would really like to advocate for my idea of doing a TRS-capable 3-footswitch idea above. It seems to me that you could even do that AND the "hold down" for more options. Maybe I misunderstand the electronics, though.

It is a good idea. I'm discussing with my engineering team the cost and ease of use trade-offs of these different options. Thanks for the great suggestion!

i checked out the site and find it contains alot of info. can you point me specifically to samples of the content they will be making for you? is it possible for me to hear the jazz clips? any jazz i found on their site was straight 8ths feel, no swing

As I said earlier, we're more focused on hardware and software engineering than on content right now. We have to get that settled before we integrate the content. But feel free to contact gorangrooves.com and ask them for a sample. They love hearing from musicians and will try to accommodate you.

I'm a beginner at bass playing and I've been practicing to songs on the computer. But I always wanted to try to just jam to a beat and see where that would lead. The stuff online sounds like garbage but your pedal sounds awesome! Will it be available in Canada??

Yes! It will be available world-wide. Please sign up to our mailing list on our website to keep updated.

Thanks!

I'm going to buy one in the kickstart campaign, I've been looking for something like this to practice with when I'm on the road.

My one feature recommendation...

Hi everybody, we're almost finished integrating a lot of the features that people have asked for. Then it's on to the crowdfunding campaign! I apologize for the delay, but I think that the improvements we've made will be worth it.

Question for all of you who asked for midi-sync: which devices would you sync to the BeatBuddy? We'd like to test the most common products to make sure they work seamlessly with the BeatBuddy.

Thanks again for your support and interest!!!

Eventide Pitchfactor and Line 6 M5.

Do you reckon this would be better than a drummer?

Well, nothing can beat a live drummer's improvisation... but the BeatBuddy would be more reliable.

We're making t-shirts for the crowdfunding campaign that says:

My BeatBuddy never:

1. Shows up late to gigs.
2. Goes off beat.
3. Steals my drink.
4. Gets drunk and hits on my girl.
5. Pukes on my favorite guitar.
6. Gets into fights with the bouncer and expects me to back him up.
7. Insists on playing one of ‘his songs’.

Feel free to add to this list :-)

8. Asks me to help him set up.
9. Forgets to pack his cymbals.
10. Never, ever, ever skimps on the Cowbell!
