LOL! Anyway, I used it today and the sound person was literally shocked at the tone. (The acoustic guitarist was not so lucky....). Am not into using a ton of effects, but The Two Notes has to be one of the essentials if you play without a cab.

I've debated switching rigs (love my GB but it's been a while) and I thought about a TH500/db112 for home and small gigs and using the head as a DI at church. How's that work for you?

I don't have that exact cabinet, but the TH is a really awesome head for tone and it's got plenty of headroom. Highly recommended!!!
Why do you run the Leeds first? Do you use it as an amp sim or just an overdrive?
Bass Guitar > Leeds > Chorus > Delay > A/B Box

What board are you running? I've got a Mondo under my PT-3 no prob. For my little PT-Mini I just use a one spot as its only 5 pedals including the VT DI.

Almost went that route at Lighthouse. It's a very cool item with all of the modeling and cab choices, even as to where the simulated mic is placed has quite a bit of difference in tone. We ended up going with the VT DI there. It's ampless and the mains have to be on for a clear signal we recentl found out with some of my active basses.
I've been reading through this thread and am REALLY confused. I used to use an EBS Multicomp and Chorus but quit using them for a while and then, in a burst of optimism, bought a Zoom B3. I have yet to find a setting that I am totally liking from the options on the B3 threads and am down to just using the B3 for the tuner and an amp modeler on occasion. I generally aim for a basic bass tone through a 5-string (usually jazz bass type).
What am I missing?

I don't think you're missing anything, I'm not crazy about the preset options on my B3 either. I found a patch that someone had posted for a jazz bass sound that I love and use 99% of the time. When I want some dirt, I set up the same patch and replaced one of the effects with the Sansamp effect to dial up the grit. It sounds pretty good.
The patch (which I can't remember off-hand) uses a compressor, another effect (I know, right?), and the fliptop amp/cab.
I know there's great sound in this box, I just don't have a lot of time to play around and find them! I do love the patch that I use (and so does the sound guy!) and I really like having all my stuff in a single backpack to transport.
Update - I decided to ditch my B3 in favor of discrete pedals. So far - EBS MultiComp and UniChorus (I had them), a Korg Pitchblack tuner and I just ordered a Darkglass Vintage Deluxe LE. Knowing me, I will be adding a few others later on!
Now I have to decide on a pedal board and power supply - goal is light, with a case...

My Main board for Cover/Original gigs revolves around a G50/VT Bass deluxe/MS-60B etc and I really have no need for most of this with a worship set up. I was using a B3 (and still do at times) but most of my patches are set up to drive a Powered wedge.
I put this together when I purchased a Radial SB-2. It works great! I had tried to sell the Compressor, but there was no interest so put it to use. The board is home made, and the size of a Nano, so it fits in my Tick on my Mono M80. I either power it with a pedal Juice battery, or 1 spot. I'm going direct using 1964ears Qi's

Well, I decided to go ahead with a couple more/different pedals, so I am out of space on this board. I have a Pedaltrain Metro 24, so I *SHOULD* have enough space! I'm planning on switching out the EBS Multicomp for a Darkglass Super Symmetry, adding a B3K and maybe an IE Xerograph for fun.

FWIW, the current board is Korg tuner, Multicomp, UniChorus and VMTD using the DI into the mixing board. Always a 5-string but which one changes week to week.

Need your advice!
My pedalboard currently consists of Bass Guitar --> pitchblack tuner --> barbershop (for subtle breakup and is almost always on) --> Ziebek Submarine Designer preamp (tone shaping/eq) --> TC Electronics Spark Booster (set with higher gain than the barbershop and slight volume boost. I use the Spark to kick in on a chorus or to do a slide or when I just need more gain OD).
I'm looking for one (or possibly two) more pedals to add another variable into the mix. I am considering a Flashback Delay (though honestly I'm not convinced delay is needed in a worship setting but educate me more), possibly an amp cap modeling pedal (possibly a Chameleon or VT Bass but I'm wondering if the Submarine really covers that ground already) or maybe a DOD Meatbox. I'm thinking the meatbox might be fun to add some 'umph' to slides or maybe a little extra presence. I would NOT use it aggressively. I know some here are fans of reverb.... but the last thing I want to do is be more muddy I want something that doesn't make people go 'oh look the bassist is showing off'. I want it to be an implied effect and not something that all of a sudden makes heads turn. Know what I mean?
