You know you're a bass player if...

- you don't need to detune to "D" when your guitarist does

- your guitarist gets flustered when you ask "What notes are in that chord?"
"Why?"
"So I can play a chord-appropriate bassline"
"Why don't you just play the root?"
"Because with the right notes, I can make that sorry-assed guitar lick sound good.."

You know you're a bass player when you have to explain 8 times to some seedy guy with a mullet that just because it has 6 strings it doesn't mean it's a guitar. "No, it's a bass," "But it's got 6 strings, it has to be a guitar." "NO!!! BASS!! IT'S A BASS YOU FOOL!!"

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!! It's a bass damn it!!

Been there, done that!

:D

Sorry if some of these are repeats... there are like 20 something pages and I made it through 10...

... You program basslines into your phone (the oldschool way with the music creator)

... You have to explain counting to your guitar player so he can stay in rhythm

... You'd rather just jam with a drummer

... You can play solos better then your guitarist

... When driving you often vere to one side or the other because the bass line in the current song is so good you don't pay attention to anything else

... A girl asks you to teach her to play guitar and you have to say "That's a bass"

When you tell the drummer what drum beat to play, and you tell the guitarist what to play for his solo.
hahhaha^ i've done that. the drummer didnt know what i was talking bout, drummers are so stoopid!!

:when you slap the counter/ table in work... guilty
:when you give your bass a name... guilty
washburn = slappy (named after a green day album not cos of slapping)
:when you hate jack black for not giving that girl a solo....damn him!!!

1) You correct people by saying "it's an electric bass" when they say "bass guitar".

2) You get upset when a nice song doesn't have an interesting bassline.

3) You hum your own basslines to those nice songs.
