Oh man... I did a big pedal board overhaul this year. Included a nano qtron, Boss CE-2w, boss oc-3, Boss dd-8, JHS Pulp n Peel, and Broughton always on high pass filter.
Of them all I think it comes between the OC-3 or the Pulp N Peel.
They both really filled a sound and control I was looking for

Regardless how good pedals sound on YT, i'll never know what mileage I'll get out of them. Both of these came in for my board overhaul for my bassoon project, and sort of came in as let's-try-and-see purchases without a specific idea in mind what to do with them, and both really surprised me with how much they could do for me.

I picked up a Super Vintage BassRig and love it.
My chain was tuner > Cali76 > Morley 20/20 Power Fuzz Wah > BassRig > Noble. The XLR out on the Noble went to FOH and the 1/4" went to my Quilter rig (BassBlock 802 on top of two BassDock 12s).
I picked up a Quad Cortex and love that as well. The plan for that was to replace most (if not all) of my chain. Thing is, as much as I love it, I'm not quite sure I want to commit the time to get used to it and then completely rely on it live. I gig way too much to have to worry about a backup.

Message Cioks - who repaired it under warranty despite it being secondhand and me having no proof of postage
honestly the DC7 is more that I really need, but having dealt with them, and the quality of their products I would find it hard to look elsewhere for power supplies

Sweet, i don't have to bother taking a pic of mine, cause this is what i came here to say! Not necessarily the chasing Geddy's tone part and i only have an SR HH and a Tony Franklin fretless, but still love what i get out of the MP40.

It was definitely my apparently unplayed OC-2. The one I'm now afraid to play and spoil it's unplayed-ness.
Not a pedal per se but my Jt Amps alpha di is on my pedalboard if that counts? it sounds incredible
Old news to many, but a new revelation to me...
Mine were
- Second Sound Unisyn - after talking to @cosmicevan a bunch (thx again!) I finally bought it, and its amazing.. tracks great all the way down to B, and connecting MIDI to the Moog Minitaur is crazy good... as is plugging it into a DAW and driving whatever soft synth you want. This is the real deal, not to be confused with anything else on the market.
- API TranZformer LLX - a studio quailty API eq with transformer that makes a big difference even with all the bands set to 0 - tightens up the low end, just great stuff.
- Hamstead Soundworks Subspace Intergalactic Driver - super versatile, maybe the most grown up sounding dist/OD out there. expensive but worth it.
Not an effect, but I got a 2007 Status Kingbass (before they shut down the company which sent used prices soaring), set it up with super light .030 strings and it is the easiest slapping bass I've ever played... super low action, the carbon fiber neck is rock solid, and it looks and sounds amazing. If you are serious about slap you really need a dedicated bass set up just for that, makes a HUGE difference.
