I picked up a Radial Bassbone OD, Quilter InterBass, and a Radial JDI direct box.
It's great to have active and passive Radial DIs, they are indeed a step above anything I've used before and built like proverbial shick brithouses. I'm especially surprised at how good the passive JDI sounds with passive basses. Yes, there is some high frequencey attenuation due to impedance loading but there is plenty of rich and detailed signal that is completely missing with something like the Whirlwind Imp I have used for years.
If the Bassbone had a master volume and a bypass switch it would be utter perfection but it's amazing as it is. The InterBass is a real game-changer, letting me drive my Bergantino and Euphonic Audio cabs to wife-annoying levels with an itty bitty pedal.

It's about the size of a muff or Klon enclosure, but turned 90 degrees. If some one was to re-vist this pedala nd expand on it's features: the Eq is post dirt and isn't switchable. If this pedal had the ability to kick in the EQ as a seperate entity from the dirt it would make a massively versatile pedal. Making it a dirt pedal, an EQ pedal and a clean boost all in one. The Grit control doesn't pull back to transparent (either wet / dry mix or from the grit control). This is because the grit circuit isn't a dynamic overdrive but a hard fuzz clip circuit. It feels like an effect applied to my bass signal and not interactive with my bass playing. I can't dig in fro more grit and play lightly for less grit. I think if this pedal had a 2nd stomper for the EQ or a wet / dry slider for the Dirt it would be pretty amazing. If it then had a slider to blend between an overdrive circuit and an fuzz (hard clip) circuit. Then a last slider to dial in a gated (sag) control.....it would be the last word in analogue bass dirt.
Maybe I should make one for a laugh!
One thing I love about this pedal...are the iluminated Graphic sliders...now that is way cool!

The YYZ and BB Deluxe are my two favorite purchases this year. Both have excellent blends and are very versatile.
Without being all stalkery … have you posted anything about this one? Their quite effective social media advertising got me interested but before they had the compact … I ended up with a colourbox v2 which is kinda aiming for a similar vibe
I haven’t recorded anything, but when I got it the first thing I did was put it into a Quad Cortex FX loop to audition (through the D.I. transformer of course). Great improvement in the low end without making it sound muddy, and still subtle enough that I can leave it always on (which is good, because you can’t bypass it). I now use its DI to go into my Quad Cortex, which gives me a tone I really like without adding any other effects.
I’ve found the best sounding pedal-combination so far: Trickfish Trilobite -> Effectrode LA-1A -> Jad Freer Capo

Not a lot of gear purchases in 2022 as my "main" band was pretty much defunct most of the year due to lack of priority/motivation on other people's parts, but I've got a couple things:
New band: Got offered and accepted the main bassist spot for a local top 80's pop band for 2023. Been subbing with them since 2015, so it'll be a smooth/natural transition. High level talent and a show to match, with click/backing tracks that also control a full light show and all effects for guitar, bass, keyboards (x4!) and drum pad. Icing on the cake: they're just good people to hang out with.
New Pedal(s): Empress Bass Comp and Darkglass Harmonic Booster. Experimented with both at the beginning of my signal chain and was a little torn because I like what they both do, but the Bass Comp won.
New Patches: Really dialed in my MIDI/synth board... and OMG FINALLY have been able to start working on C4 patches again. Have a healthy batch coming for the C4/Source Audio thread.
New Bass: @Cliff Bordwell Big McNeely came in, after a build queue of almost two years. (He's a busy guy for a reason. This bass is amazing, and he's super cool to work with.) More info in the build thread here for anyone who's interested. I admit it took me a little time to warm up to it, but now that we've bonded a bit more... HOT DIGGITY DARN.

Curious how the trilobite and capo are set up together, would have thought they had similar functionality (but I guess maybe the trilobite is clean boost only?).
Right. The Trilobite is in that scenario a buffer, clean boost, fx loop for my octaver and drive, my headphone amp, keeps the tuner out of my signal chain and gives me a second sound via a/b. But it might just not make it on the pedalboard permanently, as it smoothes everything out a bit and is just not bypassable.

The only pedal I purchased all year was a Poly Beebo and it is super cool and wins, by default or not.
My default 2nd place is the Line6 Helix 3.5 update. Not necessarily everything I would use, but enough items that I did another deep programming dive and learned new things about some of my favorite gear: HX Effects and HX Stomp.
