Might try a 10.90 class this year if I can figure out how to slow it down and cut a decent light on a .500 pro tree without electronics..... it's a low tech footbrake car.

Yeah, the delay boxes in the Super classes make things a lot easier...and a lot more boring! You should buy a practice tree...lots of mindless fun, and even though it won't exactly help with a footbrake car, it'll definitely make your reaction times better. Sigh...now I miss all the fun!

My favorite bass will always be Reverend Rumblefish #47. I had about 7 or 8 of these, but this was the first one and I have so many great memories of gigs I played with it.

This is not my actual bass, but the one I miss most was a straight-up 1998 Fender US Standard Precision. Didn’t particularly like the burst, white pick guard was a bit Meh, but this thing played and sounded like a dream right off the hook. Sold it when I left the UK to move to the States in 2004. Missed it ever since despite “better” more expensive basses having since come my way.

I have two, one fretless with the burst and white pg, the other fretted with vintage white finish.

The one i wish I had kept was the amdeluxe jazz from that same era. What was i thinking?

My favorite is, and always will be, my '68 P.

SO many that I have loved at one time or another, for one reason or another... But if I HAD to grab one to rescue in a fire, it would be my early 2000's Spector Euro for looks, tone and playability. This one has it all!

Because at least in France, it is negative and egocentric to "brag" about your own stuff specifically when it's an fairly high priced object (Car, boat, penile enlargement device, you name it).
The fact is even if i paid too much for it, it is an awesome instrument.

To quote a friend who played it: " I did not know that an instrument could sound that good in so many situation."
This guy had Alembic, Fodera, Sadowsky, Lakland, Fender, Musicman, Warwick basses... and so on.

You actually own that bass and soI wouldn't say you are 'bragging'
If you could afford the bass at the time you bought it, do not regret buying it and still enjoy it, I don't think you over-paid.
Looking at this thread it's just one of quite a few 'dentist basses'

My favorite bass would sound like a Gibson Thunderbird, look like a Ric 4003 and feel like a Fender Jazz.

But of all of the real-world basses I have actually played I guess I would pick the Fender Precision lol.

haven't tried many basses out unfortunately.......But with the few parts builds i did, you'd think those would be the top of the heap, using custom pups, bridges etc. but they are not my "go to" basses.....I still have to say my trusty 83 P and my 2000 MIM J are my favorites.

My '74 4000 - I bought it stripped of its Fireglo finish and wearing the huge replacement tuners in '80. It's been in rotation ever since.

YES! And with the obligatory replacement bridge that can be intonated. I still have my 4000, wish I'd treated mine as well as you've treated yours.

My holy trinity of basses is in my profile pic.
They are all duplicates of basses that I owned early in my bass playing journey.
All basses that I ended up having to sell for one reason or another.
A 1988 Fender "E" series in the same color as my previous one, and, yes, I had the mirror pickguard on the original as well.
An Aria Pro II ZZ bass, of which my original one was just jet black. Not the one with the nasty red, "Aria" logo across it.
A Peavey RJ IV, of which my original was the silverburst model.
The RJ IV is currently my #1...

About 4 years ago, I fulfilled a "bucket list" wish and bought a Fender slab body, 1953. My favorite bass ever. And this 1966 P Bass is not far behind.

It's a tie between "The Judge", my 1996 Alembic Epic fretless, and "Ginger", my 1980 Fender Precision fretless. Some gigs call for one, some for the other. All my other basses just collect dust.
