This is one of the most amazing basses I've ever played or owned.

This is also one of my most amazing pawnshop scores.

It's a once in a lifetime bass for me, and will be passed down to my son who's an amazing musician.

I think I've had 3 favorite basses ever.

Bongo for around 10 years.
Rickenbacker for around 3.
Short Scale Stingray for the past 2.

Lots of close contenders during that time too, including a Big Al, a Stingray HS, and a Gibson EB (one of the newer models).

Gonna guess I've owned over 100 basses.

I never hesitate to give the same answer when I see these threads. Without a doubt it’s my 2007 Stingray 5HH. I’ve owned about 15 basses and this one is my clear #1.

I have some nice bass gear, but this would be the LAST piece of gear I’d get rid of.

I've owned several great basses over the years and still have a few of them. I know it's difficult to single out one bass that you might consider your favorite but just wondering if you had one choice what would it be? For me it's my 1995 German Warwick Fortress One Masterman. It's the easiest playing and best sounding bass of the 30 or so basses that i have owned.View attachment 4126578 It would be the last one that i would ever sell.

'81 Alembic Series I with a few Series II options and a custom body cut. Best sounding bass I've ever played. Best feeling neck as well.

Even though I've been playing a 95 MIA P Bass for the last 20 something years, my favorite Bass is the sunburst 98 MIA P Bass that I bought new at the tail end of 1998. I paid $575 for it with a hardshell case.

Well, I took it to rehearsal last night and I think I'm going to park the 95 for a while and give the 98 some long overdue play time. Funny thing that I noticed recently about the 98 is I've never peeled the protective plastic off of the pick guard, and at this point I see no reason to.

10.30s @ 130 mph...did you race in Super Street or Stock? I ran in Super Gas for a couple of years...

It's a bliss to know that
1. This is the best bass I ever touched in my entire lifespan
2. The owner of this particular specimen lets me play it whenever I want (because it's me).

Well, lets think a min....the nicest feeling and playing bass was my Carvin LB70, but my overall favorite bass was 77 Fender Walnut stained w/maple neck P bass.

Wish I still had them both...foolish younger years.

Might try a 10.90 class this year if I can figure out how to slow it down and cut a decent light on a .500 pro tree without electronics..... it's a low tech footbrake car.

Because at least in France, it is negative and egocentric to "brag" about your own stuff specifically when it's an fairly high priced object (Car, boat, penile enlargement device, you name it).
The fact is even if i paid too much for it, it is an awesome instrument.

To quote a friend who played it: " I did not know that an instrument could sound that good in so many situation."
This guy had Alembic, Fodera, Sadowsky, Lakland, Fender, Musicman, Warwick basses... and so on.

To add some I liked very much a Modulus Quantum for years, but did not kept it since the Ritter replaced basically anything.
