Poor quality picture but sums it up. Modified Motorhead t shirt, hot pants and stompy goth boots. I get comments from other band members about how I always dress, but I couldn't wear jeans at a show - I like to hop around so I get far too hot when I play and need the ventilation to keep moving.

However I try to tone it down for the pop/rock band I play in... And I try to make it a bit smart when playing at weddings with function bands but the boots must always stay. Anyone else have a band that has a theme where you all have to wear the same thing eg colour scheme? Gets hards after a little while, I hate wearing the same outfit more than once...

I've played a show where we all wore white vnecks and black jeans and the vocalist wore all black. Not a single person noticed our clothing choice.

And she plays a Ric too. Damn!!!

Ya know...I was always a t shirt and raggedy jeans type. Had to buy a suit some years ago for higher line stuff. Now I dress a little better, some guy I know saw us said he liked our "look" said it was casual. I never really thought about that stuff. Most thing my drummer would say is "this is a nice place, take a shower".

One thing I do like to do...is sit when I play. I always like having a barstool up there. Sit, stand and stretch your legs, sit, stand...especially now we're dressing a little better, I have these ring boots w heels and they are a b-tch to stand in for 3 hours. But I guess they look nice. And most of the time you can use the space on smaller stages.

Jeans and t-shirt and do what feels natural. Which usually doesn't look natural.

Yes, if it's cool looking and the stuff fits right.

A lot of guys will want to know that once you get into that 38 waist size, even jeans don't look do great.

Interesting I have seen these young guys that are obese and out of shape, seems like instead of trying to work with what they are, they take the route of I am going to go out of my way to look like a bum.

I wear purple Vs and purple argyle sweaters a size too big and play with an ESP LTD F-155DX. Soon I will cover my case with purple duct tape and paint the shell of my amp (not the grill. I'm sure that could get bad.) Being in a band that plays like Foo Fighter songs, I tend to jump around a little. My band rhythm/singer says I need to lower my strap a little, so I have to get used to slapping with a low strap so I can look cool. -_-

How do you know that nobody noticed?

I don't think non musicians notice anything about bands.

I was going out with this chic last year. She didn't know I was playing bass or what a bass was. She just thought we all played guitar.

We really don't have a sophisticated music crowd in Milwaukee

There's a relatively small Indie/ originals crowd, but for the most part it's your dollar beer Mustang Sally crowd. The band doesn't even have to be any good.
