MXR bass effects really impressing me..

The swollen pickle is louder and more aggressive. It can be tweaked from the inside. The MXR bass fuzz is lower and more classic sounding. Like 60s rock. They are both different enough to warrant their own place on the board. That's until the duality shows up.

MXR bass effects really impressing me..

MXR Bass effects impressing me? Hmmm, maybe just a little bit. Would also love to add a Darkglass Duality. One can never have too much fuzz ;)

    TB600/TB1200 Footswitch Schematic

After looking around online. I ended up contacting Fender directly. They still had 19 in stock at the time. This was about a year ago. Just throwing out there in case you still didn't find one yet. BTW, great combo .

    Small Rigs, BIG Sound!

I chased after the TB600 for over five years. Finally, one in mint condition entered my shop. Took her home and has made my other Fender and Ibanez basses sing. She sits beside my old and trusty B100r Rocket.

Pedal Breeders' BIG Board Club Part II: Biggins'

Hey man, thanks for the props. That is a Pedaltrain Pro GC exclusive in metal (aluminum) finish. I wish I had gotten the one with the Mono bag, but it drove the cost a little bit more than i wanted to pay. I still kept the PT1 for when I want to go smaller. And yeah, I love the OCD.

    Boss BB-1-X Bass Driver!

Totally love this pedal. IMO, it does not mess with your tone and gives you a different alternative to a Sansamp DI or MXR M80. So for the rock bass players I've shown this to love it. One of them wants to ditch his ODB3 for the BB-1x.

Pedal Breeders' BIG Board Club Part II: Biggins'

Ok, I couldn't resist. Finally decided to post my board. As you all can attest to. Boards are a labor of love and a constant work in progress. After a few years I went from a Boss BCB60>Pedaltrain PT1>my current PTPro. BTW, I'm currently using my MXR M80 (not pictured) instead of the Preamp M81.

Anyone using the waza craft boss dm-2w delay?

Yes, I just got mine last week and it is IMO, worth the money. It retains the warmth of the old DM-2 along with the optional custom switch which takes you into a trippy direction. At on point we got that weird electromagnetic sound you hear in Tesla's "Edison's Medicine". My bass compadres...

    TB600 Horn issues

Hi guys, in need a a little help. I recently bought a used Fender TB600C. The condition of the combo is near perfect. The sound coming from the 2x10 is great, but! When I turned up the dial for the horn, I notice a slight static (or not so clean) sound coming from the horn. At first I though it...

    Fender American Deluxe or Stingray/Sterling

In looking for a good active bass. I've tried several Am Dlx Jazz basses. The quality was there, but for me the sound was not making me happy. That was until I found a MM SR HH w/SLO neck hanging on the wall at GC. After playing it for a long time, I knew that this was what I have been looking...

    New MXR pedals

Melvin, I am with you. I have access to a lot of pedals at my job. Like everyone else I started off with BOSS, which are still very good pedals. As of late, I have been enjoying the Dunlop/MXR/Way Huge line. Currently own the MXR, Phase 90, Carbon Copy, Compressor, Bass Fuzz, Bass Octave, Bass...

Fender American Jazz Std. vs. Fender Marcus Miller

+1 My 2008 Am Standard with Maple neck is amazing an is one of my main slappers. For me it has the perfect neck and balance. Only to be rivaled by my Music Man HH. Now I'm just waiting to see if we get in some of those new 2012s.

    EBMM Stingray Classic or HH?

Hey guys, since you took the time to give me some good advice. I thought I should at least give an update. I kept both, let go of a fender J bass 24 and 75 J American vintage ( hard choice since I really loved the AM-Vin, but I'm ok with it). The HH is a beast and the sound I've been looking...

    Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah

Thanks for all of the reponses. I took the pedal to work yesterday (GC) and my accessory guy hit a button under the heel with a pen knife. It seem to reset the Wah. I am also using an independent power supply. It has cleared most of the issue and sounds much better. I'm still on the fence with...

    Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah

I tried using it two ways. Alone and on the board. Here is what's going on. First I'm using 2 Boss BCB 60s. This is the order from right to left. Bass connected to first board 1-Dunlop Volume 2-Dunlop Bass Wah 3-San Amp Di 4- Swollen Pickle 5-Boss ODB3 connected to 2nd BCB60 (all Boss...

    Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah

Recently, I got rid of my Line 6 bass pod and decided to go with individual pedals. The one I always wanted was a bass wah. To my dismay, I can't understand why it changed the tone of my Ampeg SVP-CL. It was bright and punchy, and now it is darker and not as pronounced. I know this Wah has been...

    EBMM Stingray Classic or HH?

Thanks for the quick response. It really pains me because I just traded a 75 jazz vintage reissue MIA (and some other stuff :smug:) for it and find that the classic is better suited for me. I'm just real new to EB and am not as in tune with the sound as I am with Fender. For the last few months...

    EBMM Stingray Classic or HH?

Hey guys, need a little help here. I may have to part with one of my Ernie Balls and can't decide? I have a beautiful SR HH in black cherry burst which is a beast of a bass. Recently I picked up the new Classic SR (white w/tort). I just need to know if there is a redundancy by having both...

Music Man SR Classic : (

Thanks guys, I think I'll have the tech check it out once more before deciding to return or contact EB. Acually, since I bought it recently, GC extended its return policy until late January for the holidays. I may just exchange it for another SR, perhaps maybe even an HH model.

Music Man SR Classic : (

Hey guys, The other day I brought home a beautiful SR Classic I've been wanting (procrastinating) from GC for almost a year. Well, after my tech puts new strings (EB hybrid 45-105) adjusts the action and lemons up my fretboard, I take her home. I allow the base to sit in its case for awhile...

    LMBassIII & 2 2x10s

I wasn't sure about the power specs. I knew about the cabs needing a second output for the daisy-chain. I'm not really up on my MB knowledge. More of an Ampeg/fender guy. I know the cabs should be 8ohms each, anything else I should know? Thanks for the quick response.

    KUSTOM Deep End DE300HD

We sell this amp at my shop and peronally I think it's really great. I'm more of an Ampeg guy, but honestly I love the simplicity and tone of this $300. head. And it is half the weight of an SVT. For guys on a buget who who don't want to break their backs, give it a shot.

    Mono bridge or stereo?

Hi guys, I tried looking this question up, but am still a little unsure. I noticed that my Ampeg 610hlf was connected to my Crest power amp in mono bridge with the button pushed in (correct for mono). I was wondering for home use, should I be running it in A side stereo mode (back button...

    Ibanez Tube Screamer?

Hi guys, I need some advice. I currently own a Line 6 Bass Pod live. I mainly use it for having fun and experimentation of sounds. I also have an Ampeg SVP-CL which is a very clean preamp. I've checked out the video on the new Ibanez Tube Sceamer and like what I hear. Has anyone tried the...

Classic 60s Jazz, new strings and a good setup.

    Which Fender Jazz and Why?

I've said it many times over and I'll say it again. The Classic 60s Jazz is one of the best basses I've played in it's price range (or higher). The Roadworn is also a good choice, plus it is lighter than the Classic. Here's the thing, I manage a guitar shop and have had the privelage of...

    Fender jazz MIM 60s

For three years I have owned a 2007 MIM 60's Jazz from the Classic series. It is one of the best basses in my collection (check sig). It is made to vintage specs (reverse tuners are pretty neat), has a deep tone and great feel, great neck and fantastic tone. Only negative I see is the weight. It...

    On that Damn fence again

I feel the same way (redundant). The maple Jazz sounds better than the rosewood. We do have an 06 American Deluxe Jazz at my shop. The JB24 does hold it's own though. I would keep the Geddy over the 75 only because of my GL fanboyism. Also, it plays and sounds great. No, not gigging, just a...

What is a reasonable return policy?

Thank you for saying that. Being a manager of a local shop, it is very difficult for us to accept returns just because someone simply changed their minds. I always encourage folks to try for as long as they like before final purchase. Even though we have a strict return policy, we are flexible...

Why are so many retail shops angry guys?

First and foremost, a retailer should never use profanity. It is very unprofessional and lacks class. The truth is I manage two guitar shops and ebay as well as our website are extensions of our shops. Many people try to buy something for the least amount not accounting for what's being...
