Sport cruisers are where its at! Cool FJR. Not many sport tourers around right now. Thats about the only thing that competes with my r1200rs. Although i may be looking to shift to something a bit more touring in a couple years. TBD, but i think the bike is a r1250rt for the next bike.

Clean DI and mic’d up slightly dirty amp is my choice, blend between the 2 as is needed. Watch out for phase issues. Let the guy behind the desk figure the mix out, youre giving that guy more options to get you there in the context of the mix.

Headless bass. Ibanez if you really want to keep it in the budget. Mines right at around 6lbs, full scale 24 frets, and fits in a guitar sized gig bag. And i think they have a short scale, and multi scale options if desired.

i can only speak on the Helix floor unit, but its the same software for the HX. its great, super easy to use plugged into a computer or standalone. Not super menu-divey. Tons of functionality. but technically not amplified, if you need power for a cab.
