I am moving to Japan to teach next year (not sure what part of the country yet), and I want to bring a bass. I have a pre-upgrade Highway 1 J bass (i think 2002 or 2003), and I am wondering if I should worry about the humidity over there affecting my bass forever.

Who likes which one more and why? I'm not looking to use one as a preamp, I just want more options, including the option for an overdriven sound. In case it matters, I use an Eden WT405, and no other pedals. And I'm in the middle of deciding if/when I like my new Cirrus more than my Fender J.
