Simple question, can I use this Roland Cube (60w) guitar amp for bass guitar? I can get it cheap, and I need small amp for traveling... I've tried it, and it sounds good, but can I do any harm to it, since - there is a bass cube (eureka)?

If the guitar is played and maintained carefuly for 30-40 years, and still works perfectly... it is something you can rely on... and it's obviusly a good piece of wood... the years will tell... Thats why we all love Fenders so much... plain and simple... and always ready to play...

I must say I never played CT, but did few vintage Hofners, and I have ICON... it's the same idea, same sound, same features as german Hofner, and it's about 7-8 times cheaper... maybe CT looks more like a german Hof, ICON is not bad looking either! And still 2 times cheaper than CT!!! Enough...

Have you heard DiMarzzio's model P? I have it in one of my P's, and it's great... and it's 70's P bass! The "colour" of tone is the same as on Fender pickup (stock one for that bass), but have more "mass" and edge... also, have a same old BITE when you push it hard, as true Fender should...

Hi guys! I have a problem stringing my Hofner violin bass... As I live in 3rd world country, I can't just order strings online, and sometimes I must wait for a month to get new ones... Can I just cut short these 34" scale strings to my size? Is it possible to make them fit my bass somehow?

Hi guys! I have a Pbass '78. with P+J config. of DiMarzio's model P and model J. Since they are wired with each own volume pot (with s/p switching), and single tone pot (this is "meant to be - config.), there is no way to get a blended - "mixed" (P+J) sound easy (I need to adjust volume knobs...

I play McCartney in the Beatles tribute, and having a Hofner violin '67.-'68. and one Icon for backup. I've also played Contemporary series, and it's not that close to original sound as Icon, more solidbody sound... but the look is amazing, better than old Hofner. Also played Turser... Icon...

or even better, P + J DiMarzzio config., and a s/p switch... it will sound... well, pretty good :p Nothing's like a true P bass...

Yes, it sounds realy stupid:D But, what can I do? It's a Fender Precision Bass guitar, that will be defretted... is it now something else? This one stands... I just wanted to know, is there any differences between lines on fretless bass, and fretslots on defretted one.

Thanx for answers... That's cool, me too... but I had a medium scale (unlined) fretless (handmade), about 32", this Precision is 34" (yes, not only this one:D). It's not my ears that bothers me, I was just wondering, since (as I said earlier) I've never played lined-34" scale fretless...

Same Q as in title... I never played fretless precision, but thinking of defretting one. So, does "defretted lines" intonate same way as meant-to-be fretless lines, on precision bass exact, or it's useless way to catch the note?
