Has anyone tried those new solid steel pickup covers? I hear that you don't even need to glue them on, and they TOTALLY eliminate the hum from single coils.

I've heard that the Japanese make some pickup covers that are about half the price and just as good if not better than USA ones.

I was wondering about that myself. I really like the thought of lightweight Class D pick up covers, but I too am hesitant of the sound, I really like that vintage tube sound you get from more traditional covers.
