    Guns for wife and I

As said above, a revolver would be good to look at. This is what my wife has. It’s a .38 special and she has no problem handling it. A .357 packs a bit more punch, but it’s also heavier and has added recoil. I have a .32 long I like a lot and use it as a woods gun. It is small...

What you getting your Mrs for Christmas?

Gift card from a spa. No chance of me buying the wrong size, color, or style and is still something she can talk to the friends and family about.

No reception, did something local, and it was just the two of us. Probably around $300 total six years ago.

    Leslie with bass guitar?

I don't know the RPM, but the pieces that spin do so with a bit of speed. I wouldn't want to stick my hand in one. Neither speaker spins. The is a dual horn set up that sits on the high driver and a single large baffle type of thing that sits below the woofer that spins. Here is a picture...

    Leslie with bass guitar?

I have no plans on getting rid of it. Its a neat piece and looks nice just about where ever I put it. Besides, I have my B-15Nf for bass and I'm happy with it.

Hey Car Guys,...Synthetic or Non-Synthetic Oil?

I keep the car with what ever it started with. Both of my cars now run synthetic, but I sold an 84 BMW last year I ran regular oil through with over 300,000 miles. The odometer broke 3 years before I sold it so I don't know exactly how many miles, but it showed a little less than 300k and I'd...

    Leslie with bass guitar?

Actually, the amp has two sides with one being 14 watt and the other 44 watts. It can get up there in volume if you want it to. Plenty loud enough for anything I'd ever do with it.

    Leslie with bass guitar?

I have played bass for about two weeks with no musical back ground... I doubt anything I record would do much other than make most of you tear up. I do have an instructor coming over Saturday and maybe I can get him to play through it.

    Leslie with bass guitar?

The Low and high both rotate. The Woofer is a 15" filed coil fixed and right below it is the "horn" that rotates it. Makes for a neat sound.

    Leslie with bass guitar?

I have an old Leslie with a 15" field coil woofer and horn. Will I hurt it by playing my bass through it? I use the output of my B-15n as a preamp for a really cool sound, but I'm worried I'll end up destroying the woofer.

My sister is a nurse and started straight out of college at $25 an hour. Every nurse I have known picks and chooses where they want to work. Maybe I knew the lucky ones, but from what I have seen is if you want job security become a nurse... I believe determined people make good livings...

Your methods of approaching the opposite sex

Experience has shown me that if you're hot you could pee on a girls leg and still get a date. If you're not... I guess I had the best luck when I was either drunk and found someone of the opposite sex as trashed as me, or when sober and used a simple "hello".

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

You're preaching to the choir man! To be successful, I agree you’ll need an education. That education can come in many forms. College is the only one a lot of people look at these days for some odd reason. If my son doesn’t want to go to college, I am not going to force him. I...

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

See! Now you're catching on! Instead of simply disagreeing with someone off the bat, you should understand their argument first. I have tried, but may not have succeeded in saying there are other paths than college to a successful life.

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

I don't think anyone is saying college is a bad thing. I certainly am not. All I am saying is there could be other options that lead you down the same or better path with out investing 4 years of your life and a significant amount of money.

If that is what he chooses. I have yet to be brainwashed in accepting college is the only route to a successful life. I know more college graduates working outside their area of study than in it. Would they being doing their current line of work without the degree? I don't believe anyone can...

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

I don't agree with this. I am 33, no degree and have a salary in the six figures. I know several people without degrees making nice to very nice livings. Being in your twenties with 50-100K or more in students loans is not something I'd recommend to someone unless there is a damn near 100%...

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

You're specific role isn't guaranteed, but you're field is. I wanted to work on aircraft. I got to pick that and as long as I passed my training courses I was going to do it. I didn't not get to pick what it was I got to work on though. I knew guys who never deployed, while I was gone more...

Is a College Degree Absolutely Necessary

I think it depends on what you want to do. If you want to do a trade, and I consider many parts of IT a trade now, then college might not be the best route. Find a trade school and spend a year or so learning what it is you think you want to do. You can make a nice living doing a number of trade...

    Male TBers (divorce)
