    Zoom B1Xon Settings Thread...... OMG

From that, sounds like you would need just a usb host converter to change B1on patch from the B9. Let us know how you go!

    Zoom B1Xon Settings Thread...... OMG

If all you want to do is change patch and you have the FCB1010 and that's all you'll ever want to do (with only one pedal), then that's probably the way to go. If you want to control the individual effect parameters and/or want to control LOTS of pedals (including non-Zoom midi controllable...

Does far more than you want (and might be more than you want to pay!) www.facebook.com/zoom.control A bit more info here: (with much more to come) [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] (ZPI works with B1on in the same way as the pedals shown in any of the videos - except that tempo can't be set.)

MIDI program changes-- is there a way to use them "out of order" or cycle back through them?

That's a bugger. Double bugger! (Possibly...) The _only_ reason to use legacy midi is for long cable runs to avoid noise pickup and earthing issues. It's slow! Its capacity is severely restricted! I wonder does the Bias midi input have optoisolators? (Hope so!) To use the ZPI with the...

MIDI program changes-- is there a way to use them "out of order" or cycle back through them?

Does the PG Bias accept midi via its usb port? I'm tempted to say the ZPI would do what you want, plus it would give you unlimited scene control with graphical interface. (There - I said it!) Its general purpose midi interface is just about up to speed - some configuration options and...

Possible issue with Zoom MS-60B: buzzing

The MS pedals generally can have problems with noise. I think the analog and digital grounds are not well decoupled internally - it's worse when sharing power supply with other pedals, and worse if powered by usb.

    Cheap(ish) backup multi effect pedal?

Especially with the Zoom pedals, another option is the ZPI. Uses usb midi to control multiple pedals, multiple actions assignable to footswitches, control of all effect parameters including by expression pedals or midi input, connects wirelessly to tablet/phone/computer for display. Most...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

In that case, I can guarantee that will be possible with the ZPI within the next few weeks. Patch switching is trivial for the n series pedals - it looks to me like the other ZPI goodies - full control of everything (incl expression pedal control of any parameter, multi pedal control, scenes...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

    Something like this?
  10. D

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Yes - you not only have to convert the physical/electrical format, but also convert the midi messages into the appropriate midi sysex.
  11. D

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Exactly as you say. Zoom have never documented the midi sysex messages used, but they were used for the G5/G3/B3 pedals to interface to Edit&Share program. They were left in (inadvertently? but also incompletely) in the MS and series 1 pedals, which allowed usb control of those pedals. Check...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Yes, works now with the B1on. I'm not familiar with the B9
  13. D

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Yes, through the usb. Before the update, it seems that only patch and firmware loading was implemented. Now full control by sysex messages looks to be there - similar to the B3.
  14. D

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Yes, it could do that and more: change not just patches but also parameters (including expression pedal control of any parameter), control other midi pedals, control of DAW, control Zoom pedals by DAW, master tempo control/tap tempo and probably some other stuff I've overlooked. It looks like...

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

I see somewhere else that he plans to have a Tonelib update in a week or so. I've only had a quick look at the Zoom update (on a G3n) and the really big news (I think) is that they've implemented full MIDI control of the pedal. This differs from the how Denis so far has done things (ie...

    DMC.micro with Zoom MS functionality?

Thanks Ricky. To be very clear: the mobile device (or desktop) is used only for display and user input (via a VNC viewer - a remote desktop type of program.) All of the midi/controller stuff is in the black floor unit.

    DMC.micro with Zoom MS functionality?

Hi Ricky. GMC might have been referring to some of my videos (which are a bit out of date.) The MS pedals do have quite extensive midi functionality possible - far more than patch selection and tuner control. I have a controller available now which costs more, but does quite a lot more...

    DMC.micro with Zoom MS functionality?

bassbrad, here's the thread from thegearpage.net that I mentioned elsewhere. In it, Disaster Area confirm that the micro only performs patch selection and (possibly?) tuner control for the MS70CDR. (The MS50 and MS60 will behave similarly to the 70 in that regard.) Invalid Link Removed

    Zoom MS-60B Firmware Update 2.0 (June 2017)

Hmm - don't think so. A Disaster Area response I saw somewhere (GearPage?) stated that MS pedals respond only to program change and a tuner control CC. No expression pedal, and (I conclude) no tap tempo. (DA are not correct - it is possible - the ZPI does it - but apparently not the DA...

    Zoom ms 70cdr

If you want expression pedal control of MS pedals, see below. Costs a bit more than the DMCmicro but does quite a lot more. (If you watch on youtube, the description has links to other demos. Not the best quality, but might give an idea.) (Note that expression pedal control probably is...

    Zoom B3. MS-60B, B1on USB control

Hello Novarocker. Sorry for the delay - not keeping you in suspense, just snowed under. Yes, I have cracked the code - as far as i think it can be. Yes, it can switch between patches and use expression pedals to control effect parameters. It can do that for multiple pedals. I'll be back to...

Zoom MS pedal backup (ZoomLib and Windows XP)

Hello DGY. There have been a few reported problems with XP, but they all seem different. If you haven't looked through the general discussion forum at zoompatches.com/forum then that would be a good place to start. Most likely cause is another program using the midi device. Try stopping...

Zoom B3 Tap Key Light Blinking - how to stop?

You probably have a delay effect in the chain, with the time parameter set to follow tempo. (In that case, the tap key blinks at current tempo rate.) To stop it blinking, change the time setting of the delay to something without a music note in it. (Hope that makes sense.)

    Zoom MS-60B (part 2)

Sorry to come in late here - ZPI is my invention. Thanks for the mention steve_rolfeca, but $400 is way over the mark. Basic 4 switch unit is US$187. Add-on 4 switch unit is about $50. Shipping is extra - about $20to30-something (actual cost.) For that, you get much, much more control...

Well, alright. I admit it. I'm a recovering engineer. And I'll up your mark to 99%. I like your Zoom theory. I read somewhere that they outsource their design work, but that might have been speculation. From what I read of the nano, it should just plug in and work.

    Zoom B1Xon Settings Thread...... OMG

Yeah, that bit about Zoom engineers wanting to sell for 0.01 is a bit absurd. Otherwise, johnp352 is spot on. I'd score him 98% believable. (and I'm a hard marker.) (Also, thanks johnp352 for your kind comments. Except calling me an engineer - made me twitch. I'll put more info on the...

    Patch backup / sharing for Zoom pedals: MS60B, MS70CDR, B1on, B1Xon, B3, G5 etc

Sorry for the late, late reply - somehow this slipped past. There is enough info to edit an entire patch, but it's a bit convoluted. I have been working on an interface for real time control of Zoom pedals (with interface to ios/android/Mac/PC) and I'm planning small scale production soon. If...

Tuner can be set to either mute or bypass. It returns to the patch you were on. The biggest problem I have with the B1on is the lack of tap tempo. (I think the UI is terrible, but I'm working on that!)
