    NBD... sort of. (Ruokangas content)

I have to admit, that is pretty much what I had in my head. That tubiness(sp?) growl/distortion thing. Sounds great. Thanks for the video.

    MF STOTD Gator Icon $99

Saw the deal early this morning and spent ALL day trying to talk myself out of it but decided it was too good of a deal to pass up. I honestly expected it to be sold out when I finally went back late afternoon to see if it was still there. It does say "limited availability" now though.

    Leather straps

^ These...Great straps. I buy their four inch option and it is very comfortable. Also have a few different colors and the BOGO free make makes for an excellent deal.

Why use a zero fret instead of a nut made of the same material as the frets?

Okay, that makes total sense. Thanks for explaining it. Love TalkBass.

Why use a zero fret instead of a nut made of the same material as the frets?

Apparently there's some difficulty installing a zero fret. I tried to order one on a European "boutique" bass (I was the first to order the option when it was offered) and received an email letting me know they were canceling that particular option and reducing the price of the bass by the...

    What's under 15 pounds?

I second SID THE KID’s RevSound recommendation. I have one that I power with my Mesa D350 (175 watts into this cab) and it is phenomenal at right around half your budget. It’s under 15 lbs but feels really well made and sturdy. It’ll surprise you with how low and loud it’ll go. Edit: Revsound...

    Kitchy music venues to avoid

Same thing happened here locally, outdoors, just about month ago. I hear the band, not too bad, I could definitely hear the bass, so I walk up to listen, immediately looking for the bass player, low and behold no bass to be seen. Bass backing track...all the other instruments were there, I...

Soon to be NBD - Aria Pro II Cardinal Series CSB-300 content!

I have two of the Cardinal series (different colors) and several other Aria's. I like them a LOT, they're great basses and most of them are still reasonably priced. I'd be surprised if you don't really enjoy it. And yes, please update us when you get, and have a chance to play, it. Congrats on...

    Official Revsound Bass Cab Club

Maybe it is less. I haven't put it on a scale as I don't have one available. All I know is that it's really easy for me to pick up and carry around, and I love the sound/tone of the cab so I'm a happy feller. :)

    Official Revsound Bass Cab Club

New RevSound Cab - after purchasing my RevSound RS210 that I wrote and raved about in this club a few weeks ago, I contacted Mr Luke and ordered the RS110, 8ohm. All I can say is WOW! this is THE best single 10 inch speaker cabinet I have ever played through. I was super impressed when I plugged...

Mesa Subway cab paralysis - Which speaker size?

Nice reply. I guess I favor the slightly, aggressive, mid voice. And you are right, they do go deeper than one would expect. To me it's a really clear, fast, bass which I like. I played the 15 and the 12 side by side and I just kept coming back to the 12. Choices/Options are a wonderful thing.

Mesa Subway cab paralysis - Which speaker size?

For what it's worth, I've had all three, sold the 1x15 and the 2x10, now have 2 1x12's and I love 'em. DuluthDank is right in that you can EQ the 12's for pretty much any sound you want and they are super easy to transport. One is all I usually need but when I need more two has never failed to...

    Custom Pickguard for Sting Bass

I like it a lot. Might have stumbled onto a new family business oportunity. I'd certainly pay to have it done to a couple of my white Pickguards, with a little more red added in, if you're ever inclined to make something of it.

    NBD: Impulse buy.

That's a nice find. Congrats!!! My Nash is one of my three go to live performance basses. I don't know, I can't explain it, it just sits in the mix so freekin' well (and that great neck 👍).

    Maruszczyk

These are my two Maruszczyk's and I can report that they are magnificent instruments and offer Great bang for the buck. I love the zero fret that I believe all of his builds come with. The green P is a medium scale (32") and the burst P is 34". The builder, Adrian, is a superb bass player...

Well...finally.....I now know what all the hype is about. The big brown truck delivered this RS-210 today around 1pm and I haven't been able to get anything done since (it's now 11pm). I have more basses, and amps, to try out with it but the three pictured all sound PHENOMENAL through the cab...

    Why multiple basses?

I don't try to justify them other than that they make me happy while I'm still here above ground. Maybe I have ADD, or ADHD, or whatever, but I think I am cured from buying anymore. I have all, and I guess more than, I "need".

Best Multi-Purpose Rig: Combo vs. Seperates

I thought of getting a second one myself but instead bought a 1210PL 1000W for anything the 12 mini can't handle. Jorg sure builds some great cabs.

Best Multi-Purpose Rig: Combo vs. Seperates

I too run a D-350 into a Schroeder 12+L in a lot of situations. Is that not just one crazy, Amazing, light weight, little amp/cab paring? It'll surprise you for sure.

    Show your tidy pedalboard!

My boards. I'm using the one with the Sushi Box Nobelium probably 85/90% of the time now. The Mesa Preamp board was my go to prior. I'm thinking of exchanging the Broughton Comp with the new Cali 6 when it becomes available. Haven't totally decided yet though. They're both great Comps.

Waited 13 months for this and boy was it worth it. I received it yesterday 06.15, waited a few hours to open it, and stayed up until roughly 1am playing it. Wait times for custom basses now

Speaking of Nashville builders.....I placed an order for a Mario Martin in May '23. Was told it would take a year. Requested an update last month (May '24) and delivery was pushed out to this month (June), so fingers crossed...13 months.
