All this Foundation talk had me take mine out again for the first time in years. Can't even remember the strings I have on it (Stainless I think, they still sounded lively) Oh I've missed this bass... might even break me from my Short Scale infatuation.

I have 2 short scale Jaguar basses that I have Tapes on, one has D'addario's and the other La Bella Whites(strung BEAD). I also have a set of D'addario's on an Ibanez semihollow bass. Love the tone I get with these strings.

The joys of being a single man! I only need my own approval ;) I've been selling off a few instruments to aid in the saving process though.

Worst purchase?... um... I bought a Sub'n'Up Mini that gets absolutely 0 use. It's not a bad pedal at all, but I got a deal on a Nano POG which gets all my octave work.

I'll just take some black spray paint to this nice RW board. That way the frets are black too ;)

Got a few mods complete. Namely, black string tree, black pickguard screws, painted the control plate black, gotoh 201b black straplocks. I also installed Dimarzio JP126(Model P+J) pickups. I still need to find some Black Ultralites or Res-o-Lites on my next paycheck. Also thinking about...

Hey guys, my MB500 has lately developed this static-y crackly noise. It doesn't matter if bass is plugged in, or even if the amp is muted, this noise is still there. No other electronics are on nearby besides having a power strip. I've even noticed that while I'm playing this noise gets louder...

I'm considering ditched my Neo112-I for the CX210(actually a pair of CX210's, running both the MB500 & MB200 to their own cabs one dirty one clean). I don't have a shop near by to compare the sounds, so my talkbass friends, is there much difference between the 2 cab series?

I currently have Chromes on my Jazz bass, and a combination of those and the Dimarzio Model J's, I have finally found the sound I've been chasing after. I can't see me going to any other strings anytime soon.

got this in the other day. Had some buzz issues, but they have been worked out with a simple Truss Rod adjustment. Dean Exotica Quilted Ash w/ Aphex! I

Took her into the local tech. They do neck adjustments free. A few minutes later and she's not buzzing, at all!! But, action is higher, so we shall see how it plays now

I played a rumble for the first time this weekend at a GC. I couldn't have been more impressed. The tone was amazing, and I probably sat there for 45 minutes playing different basses, getting great results with each. If I had some extra $$ laying around I would probably have picked one up...

I put some material under the E String to raise it a bit and it remove the buzz either, I woulda thought that could have made up for the slightly thinner string. Could be uneven frets?

That is a possibility, I am playing .045-.100. I will have to look into heavier strings, and yes the worst of it is at the F fret, and well as some around the 13-15th fret

My exotica came in yesterday. Cleaned her up a bit, and put some new D'addario strings on, she's amazing except for a horrid buzz on the 1st fret E-string. I believe the nut slot was cut way to deep. Will be taking to my tech this weekend.

I ordered a Dean Exotica Quilted Ash Acoustic bass. Should be in on Thursday or Friday... I bought an older one as I really wanted the Aphex pre. I will get pics up asap!

I also own a set of the 50's, I absolutely love them. I use them for quiet practice, as well as general listening, starting to use them for recording work as well. I find them to be great all purpose.

2018 is also my first year using a pedalboard. Previously I was just bass directly into amp. This year I've decided I was going to experiment a bit more. The only thing I still want to add is a Reverb, otherwise I feel like I have a solid board that will get me through many years. This year...

Got a LPF + HPF, still trying to figure out what settings work best for me, but I have been enjoying tinkering and learning how the filters affect the sound.

My Phat Phuk B and Spectracomp are always on, neither of my basses sound "right" without them now.

I'll let the wife know that we are going to default on her car payment, and hold off getting into our first house. Pedals are definitely a higher priority! ;)
