Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

I have a confession... I have owned GK products since 2005 when I joined my first serious band. 700RB-II, since then I've played the 1001, MB200, MB500, PLEX bought a few of the MBcombos. Absolutely love the products. Heard about the Legacy series and was stoked. Somehow I decided to change...

    NBD: $100 Peavey Foundation

All this Foundation talk had me take mine out again for the first time in years. Can't even remember the strings I have on it (Stainless I think, they still sounded lively) Oh I've missed this bass... might even break me from my Short Scale infatuation.

    TapeWound Club~Anyone?

I have 2 short scale Jaguar basses that I have Tapes on, one has D'addario's and the other La Bella Whites(strung BEAD). I also have a set of D'addario's on an Ibanez semihollow bass. Love the tone I get with these strings.

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

Hey guys, figured I could finally post in here. I just received in my brand new AGB260. So far I'm digging everything about this bass, I have some tapewound strings on order, can't wait to hear that thump

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

The joys of being a single man! I only need my own approval ;) I've been selling off a few instruments to aid in the saving process though.

Worst Bass Related Purchase of 2018?

Worst purchase?... um... I bought a Sub'n'Up Mini that gets absolutely 0 use. It's not a bad pedal at all, but I got a deal on a Nano POG which gets all my octave work.

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

I'll just take some black spray paint to this nice RW board. That way the frets are black too ;)

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

Got a few mods complete. Namely, black string tree, black pickguard screws, painted the control plate black, gotoh 201b black straplocks. I also installed Dimarzio JP126(Model P+J) pickups. I still need to find some Black Ultralites or Res-o-Lites on my next paycheck. Also thinking about...

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

I will have one of these in my hand on Sunday. I cannot wait. Was out of town for a work trip, stopped by one of the local guitar centers and found a used black jag ss for 99$. I played it the first day for about 45 minutes, and the only issue I noticed was a 3" scratch across the back that was...

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

I'm back at work now, so further steps will have to wait until tonight. My amp has been plugged into this same outlet for a year and this problem only just started happening(not saying that that means anything). When turning the pots I don't get any scratchy more or less noises, that was one...

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

Hey guys, my MB500 has lately developed this static-y crackly noise. It doesn't matter if bass is plugged in, or even if the amp is muted, this noise is still there. No other electronics are on nearby besides having a power strip. I've even noticed that while I'm playing this noise gets louder...

That's what I'm looking for, a nice change versus my VM 77 Jazz.

I've been considering that exact same bass. I seem to gravitate to it every time I get to a GC. One day...

    What's Up @ GK

More knowledgeable people I'm sure will soon chime in, but I believe that GK pulled out of MF, GC, and SA. Or I believe I read that somewhere on these forums.

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

I'm considering ditched my Neo112-I for the CX210(actually a pair of CX210's, running both the MB500 & MB200 to their own cabs one dirty one clean). I don't have a shop near by to compare the sounds, so my talkbass friends, is there much difference between the 2 cab series?

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

Maybe I missed something, but I went 4-5 pages back and read. Is MusiciansFriend no longer carrying GK? I didn't see much for product.

    What's your take on flats?

I currently have Chromes on my Jazz bass, and a combination of those and the Dimarzio Model J's, I have finally found the sound I've been chasing after. I can't see me going to any other strings anytime soon.

Acoustic bass fetish club Part 2

    Fender Rumble Club

I played a rumble for the first time this weekend at a GC. I couldn't have been more impressed. The tone was amazing, and I probably sat there for 45 minutes playing different basses, getting great results with each. If I had some extra $$ laying around I would probably have picked one up...

    Dean Club!!!

Oh I'll get it sorted out, I'm not giving up :) And I agree, this bass is beautiful, I'm glad I finally was able to pull the trigger on one. Bass was sitting in the box inside my apartment for 4-5 hours before I opened it. Shipped from MA to ND. I'll give it some time though. I'm pretty...

    Dean Club!!!

I put some material under the E String to raise it a bit and it remove the buzz either, I woulda thought that could have made up for the slightly thinner string. Could be uneven frets?

    Dean Club!!!

That is a possibility, I am playing .045-.100. I will have to look into heavier strings, and yes the worst of it is at the F fret, and well as some around the 13-15th fret

    Dean Club!!!

My exotica came in yesterday. Cleaned her up a bit, and put some new D'addario strings on, she's amazing except for a horrid buzz on the 1st fret E-string. I believe the nut slot was cut way to deep. Will be taking to my tech this weekend.

    Dean Club!!!

I ordered a Dean Exotica Quilted Ash Acoustic bass. Should be in on Thursday or Friday... I bought an older one as I really wanted the Aphex pre. I will get pics up asap!

    ATH-M40x... or ATH-M50x ?

I also own a set of the 50's, I absolutely love them. I use them for quiet practice, as well as general listening, starting to use them for recording work as well. I find them to be great all purpose.

    Pedalboard trends 2018

2018 is also my first year using a pedalboard. Previously I was just bass directly into amp. This year I've decided I was going to experiment a bit more. The only thing I still want to add is a Reverb, otherwise I feel like I have a solid board that will get me through many years. This year...

My Phat Phuk B and Spectracomp are always on, neither of my basses sound "right" without them now.
