My thoughts:

1) Jacksonville has never failed to not live up to preseason Hype. They have all the talent but can't seem to figure that whole "winning" thing out. If they played as well as they talked they'd have several SB's under their belt.

2)Houston has a good one in Deshaun. Too bad his coach is so inept. Watsons blind side now belongs to Matt Kalil. Good luck with that because with a player who was WORLDS better than Kalil Watson was laid out 62 times last year.

3) Indy keeps being lauded as having one of the best O-lines in the NFL. 2 years ago it gave up 52 sacks. Jacoby Brissett was under center.

4) The Titans are a perennial .500 football team. They can get rid of the Fish, but they can't shake the 8 and 8 curse. As always 8 and 8 can win the AFC south. The Titans defense has a buffet of QB's to feast on in the south and their defense was good the last few seasons and got better this off season with both talent and leadership. Maybe the Titans can finally beat Indy.

I'm hoping big things for my Jags.
With Luck retiring and Lamar Miller the RB from Houston on IR Jags chances have gone up.
It will be an interesting season.

The NFL's rules about uniforms tend to be stupid anyway. I want to see another quarterback wearing number 60. I would take a quarterback wearing 21 like John Hadl did. As I recall, the lowest number on the team when I was a senior in high school was the quarterback, and he wore 22.

Saw Gronk on TV yesterday and he's involved in the CBD business now. He was almost brought to tears recounting the month after the Pats won superbowl LIII. He was in so much pain that he could not sleep. Even with the best drugs known to humankind pro footballers endure a lot between Monday and Saturday. TJ Houshmanzadeh said "imagine not being able to be intimate with your wife or play with your kids because either the pain or the 'shot' for pain leaves you unable to"

...moving on:

Jadeveon Clowney hasn't signed his franchise tag and has shown interest in the Eagles and Jets but the price tag will be great. The Texans in return want a pro bowl caliber left side offensive lineman. For the Eagles that doesn't mean Jason Peters because of his age but it means the younger players who have been groomed for years to replace Peters, Howie Rosen isn't one to make a sucker move.:cool:

Even though they are div. rivals I've never really minded the tarps too much. The fans have been reasonable, by and large and look, any team that rolled out that line of QB's for their fans deserves empty seats. Now they have all the bits, they just need to have a leader ( preferably the QB ) take control of the locker room and stop all the individual crap talking. Get everyone focused on playing well. The rest will take care of itself.

Have you seen some of the kickers? She might be bigger than a few of them :) Who was the kicker .. had a brother who was a kicker too, who injured himself celebrating a made field goal. I say let her go for it. She will know the risks, and I'm pretty sure she would gladly take them if the offers are legit. To be the first female player in the NFL. That's history no matter how it turns out.

I dig it.

Women are a PC gimmick in the NFL. They would get get seriously hurt or killed. I don't have a problem with women coaches but as players, not a good idea

I think it would be amazing, but let's not get our hopes up yet.

1. She kicked it with a four step approach. She would have to change to a two step approach. Not only would she have to deal with half the momentum, but she would have to break decades of muscle memory. Neither would be easy.

2. Teams generally only have one kicker, and for kickoffs she would have to be able to kick it 75 yards with height. That means she probably would have to add 5-10 yards to her distance (generally a 4 step approach on kickoffs).

Can it be done? Possibly. But she would have to give up her soccer career and take a year to work with a kicking coach. I don't know if she would be willing to do it to take the chance. Frankly, I hope she goes for it.

I don't have any sympathy for the current and recently former NFL players crying about being in pain. At this point, the risks are well documented and known by everyone.
There are men and women all over the world working through debilitating pain every day that make in a year what some of these guys make/made in a game.
