2019 NFL Season Talk

Women are a PC gimmick in the NFL. They would get get seriously hurt or killed. I don't have a problem with women coaches but as players, not a good idea
She's listed at 5'7", 141 lbs. There was a kicker in the NFL just last season who was 5'8", 160. She would be fine on that front.

I doubt she'll get the chance.

I imagine just about every team without all All-Pro kicker would give her a chance, at least to come to camp and let her what she can do, if she put the time in and showed the proper timing and technique.

The Jets were 1 for 5 on extra points the first two exhibition games. You don't think they would take a look.

Just like we don't know everything about the US government and what they do there are things that the NFL has unwritten rules that will not come to pass.
For instance I doubt you will ever see Colin Kaepernick ever again suit up in an NFL game.
This is just my opinion I have nothing but what I see to base it on.

The NFL's rules about uniforms tend to be stupid anyway. I want to see another quarterback wearing number 60. I would take a quarterback wearing 21 like John Hadl did. As I recall, the lowest number on the team when I was a senior in high school was the quarterback, and he wore 22.

There actually is a reason for it. When you have 22 huge people out there, it helps the officials know who is at what position. It makes life much easier, especially in the line, and with eligible receivers.

The Seahawks and the Raiders third strings had an amusing game last night. The commentary when Gruden had the Raiders lining up to go for two to tie the game right at the end was entertaining. I was happy to see Ben Burr-Kirvin turn into the tackling machine he was at UW. Beats me if he will stick with the Seahawks. I hope so. If not, he will have a shot somewhere. He credited advice from the veterans for half his tackles. That's another reason I hope he sticks. He's coachable and a class act.
