OR get a grippy strap!I found an easy way to cure the neck dive with the lead free stick on wheel weights. I need 16 oz near the rear neck strap cone. Test it out with some tape to find the amount and location needed to balance it. Then stick them on, cover with something like a black plastic notebook cover, tape that over them. It will be thin, not touching me, and a nice relief to be balanced.
About $10 for 48 1/4 oz weights on Amazon or Ebay. Tape them on as whole strips, then a partial to dial it in. Also 1/2 oz and larger, and some are black color.
Later, I might use a Dremel router to carve out some slots to put them in then use some pick guard stock to make a cover. They will need to be epoxy glued into the slots to be sure they never come loose. The tighter the fit and better the fill probably wouldn't affect the tone quality.

Seriously, though, once I got N UNpolished suede BACKED strap (the rest of the strap is fabric) I never had to worry about neck dive again
-And believe me I was plenty paranoid about it once…!
Lubing the tuning machines seems to be the first project. This bass is very light. I haven't weighed it yet, but I will. I will replace the strings just on GP's. I like flats, but I have them on the other basses. Any suggestions for a decent wound?
