Accugroove site update.....

Then it'll do it set to 4 ohms as well. The cabs average impedance is around 6 ohms, so maybe the Eden can handle that. BTW have you checked if your switch is even wired correctly? There's been a few including mine that were wired in reverse ie 8 ohms was actually 4. Not that it makes any difference. The switch does NOT change the impedance (check the impedance sweep posted by Petebass)

5100 bucks says my 1995 Eden WT800 can bridge into my Accugroove Whappo Jr. with accusaswitch on 8 in 100 degrees Fahrenheit outdoor gigging heat for 4 one hour sets with 15 minute breaks in between sets without thermal shutdown. Any takers?
Eden has given the green light to bridge the WT800a into the D610XLT, which is 5.3 ohms...... so it will probably be fine.

I take it you've done this.

Anyway, it doesn't constitute proof that the switch works as both Fuzzhead and 12bass have said. If Eden says you can bridge the older WT-800s into the 5.3 Ohm 610XLT without any problem then 4 Ohms isn't that much of a stretch. When you add Fuzzhead's comments that the actual nominal impedance of the Whappo Jr. is about 6 Ohms, it's not unlikely that this would be fine. Try it with the cab switched to 4 Ohms and I doubt you'll see any difference in amp behaviour.

5100 bucks says a similar situation killed a Peavey DPC-1000

Gotta love how the ability of most amps to drive lower than their minimum impedance at relatively high levels is being taken by some owners as positive proof that the AccuSwitch works!

So imagine I have a car that does 140mph but I want to use 110mph rated tyres on it. Obviously these will blow if I don't think of a cunning solution - like a MagicSpeedoSwitch that halves the speedo reading so 140mph reads as 70mph. And lo and behold, since I've installed that switch the tyres have been fine. I've maxxed the car once or twice (reading 70mph on the speedo so the tyres are ok!) but never had a chance to sit on a straight road at full speed for more than a few seconds. But obviously the switch works because the tyres can't go above 110mph without blowing. If you want me to save you some money on the tyre bills I can install the switch for only $200. Bargain!

the evidence is completely overwhelming that the accuswitch was pure unadulterated hooey--a decptive practice and a peice of hype. On the one side--actual evidence. On the other side? "I don't believe it." Comical. I guess that's why so manny people believe dinosaurs and people shared the earth

I expect hype, I kind of like hype. Outright deception and lying, on the other hand, is a different story

Wow, I'd never heard of this brand before and I can't believe how much excitement a simple site update is generating ... and it hasn't even got info about this switch everyone is excited about?

A quick glance through the thread tells me they've got unique technology and I gather it's awesome stuff that everyone loves from a company based on Christian principles that has earned the Average Joe's respect. Going to go order some right now !

Like I said, this amounts to free advertising.

I also raised a gripe about this. I always use my attenuators & when I "had" my AG cabs & found out they weren't going to offer them anymore, I called Mark & he said "You can still get the adjustable attenuators for an additional fee..."!!! Are you kidding me! A month earlier they were standard, now it's an optional upgrade/fee...

This is such a joke. They had such a great feature that is supposed to work and they removed it, that is the customer pays the same price and gets less (as with the attenuators), just "to return the public's focus back to the original purpose of the cabs"?? How stupid do they think their customers are?
Duh. I was this close to buying an AG cab and I'm glad I didn't. I'm sure it may sound great nonetheless, but I refuse to give that amount of money to a company I can't trust.
You want my money, excuse me, I expect some respect.
