I'm a freak. I'm left handed when I write and throw with my left. But I play bass like a righty and shoot a puck right. ( If you play hockey you would understand.)

I am left-handed... But I play bass right handed... In fact my music teacher in school made a big stink about it because HE was left-handed... I was taking classical guitar and he insisted I learn to play right-handed...

Ended up working quite well - I was quick to build dexterity in my fretting hand...
I even have family members who, as children, were forced by their headmasters to learn to write right-handed...

I am Left-Handed, right down to my toes. I happily play Right-Handed, in descending order of competence: Bass, Double Bass, Piano, Guitar, Violin, Recorder, Percussion, assorted Brass & Winds.

BTW, I catch, throw, and bat Left-Handed.

Perfect description of me!! I would add to the left-handed methods I employ: Swing a golf club, write, kick and anything else that requires a "handed" approach.

I did learn to eat right-handed for the sake of manners. I can also keep a decent beat on a drum set (just don't ask for fills ) I do that rightie as well.

I am left handed but play right. Just the way I was shown to hold the bass. More than likely would have been easier if I had started lefty.

"They" tried to tell me I needed to play right handed.
And as a teenager I listened and promptly did what I wanted to do.

No regrets other than, that wistful look around music stores at the dozens of basses I will never play

Reason? Bad fall in my childhood.. I can't turn my left hand wrist properly...

But...it makes me kinda special
