Oh trust me, you got something....... Lol.

Look I just feel like stating something needlessly is just a way to cover up being trouble. Which apparently Lambesis is. It takes very little to turn to the dark side. I'm Roman Catholic and I don't consider myself a good person, despite having all the things that make one up.

Or maybe my opposition to religion is the one relative I have who has strong religious affiliation lives on the other side of the country and I see it as dividing my family.

Either way I don't like it.

This was the band that got me back into metal after HS. Their first 2 albums have a special place for me, even if I haven't listened to them in a long time. Don't get me wrong I always loved metal but I hadn't heard anything new in years. I wasn't actively looking for new stuff, like I should have been. They reignited the flame so to speak.
Tim will be able to dedicate all his time to working out in jail if convicted.

It would be different, but who knows, it's been over a decade. It's just odd having relative strangers rather than relatives.

Anyhow....no, I still think people use religion as an excuse/crutch/just adopted ritual. I have manners because I want them, not because my conscience rides on gods approval (something I've heard people say. I don't know, the whole concept of prayer/god/souls sounds pretty odd to me when I get to it). I don't like powerlessness and that's what religion in most masses I've attended has stated . That were just slaves to animalistic behavior and we don't think and that if we are forgiven well somehow just move on and forget about it.

****, I'm actually an atheist, aren't I?

I remember after hearing the first album I thought they were cool. The second album I was like what the **** happened? It was definitely super commercialized for even it's own era.

I just looked I guess it was their 2nd and 3rd album.
It was commercial but I hadn't heard anything like that at the time. The party I was at when I heard them, were probably playing the 1st album.
I was going to a lot of raves and roll parties at the time. So I guess metal wasn't really on the playlists... haha.
I also didn't have any friends into metal. I was the "metal" guy. Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, some numetal. Then when that sound took over the radio, I stopped listening and stopped looking.
Maybe that's when I started to hate radio. Found bands without it's help anymore. Got off the teet and started searching for myself.

I work with a past member of Killswitch Engage and Unearth and he said he was pretty shaken up by this considering he's hung out with the guy and have been friends with him for awhile. It's crazy what people will do. Hope everything sorts itself out and everyone is ok.

EDIT: Also to an above post, Folk metal is awesome! Saw Eluveitie this past December and it totally melted my face

"An Ocean Between Us" I consider their best. "The powerless Rise".... Well, it's intricate but the songs lose meaning In translation.

An Ocean Between Us is good. But there is one song where the singing has auto-tune :( Blatant auto-tune. I'm sure it's all over all the albums, but it's used correctly.
Frail Words and Shadows were the two I liked the most. An Ocean was better than Shadows. But I bought Shadows when I was in rehab a couple weeks after it's release... so it's more personal I guess. haha.

Lol the songs on that one did have a charm, didn't they? I don't discredit it, it's very good, but so much of it sounded like trying to turn a metal core band into like this mainstream almost 80s rock sort of pop.
