Bag End Club.

The Aggies are going to have more low end than the Bag End's, but the BE's are probably going to be louder...especially the S15D's.

I haven't played the 12's so I can't compare them, but my 15's are the bees knees. Very clear and punchy cabs.

Thanks, I am in no hurry to get rid of the DB112 stack. Perhaps I need to keep my eyes peeled for some used birch cabs and piece mail a stack together whenever they present themselves available. I would hate to sell my DB stack only to find out I preferred the DB's more than the BE's. If I take my time and get the BE cabs when I can find a good used pair, it wont dent my wallet as bad and should be able to afford a used pair of BE's w/o having to sell the DB's. Then that way I can a/b in real time and find out which ones work the best.

I'd say that's a good idea! I basically did the same thing. I found a pair of Bag End cabs for super cheap locally. I wasn't sure what they were going to sound like or how they would work for me but I figured I didn't have much to lose. It was $400 for a pair of them, local.

I bought them and gigged them that night and thought they were perfect.

Here's the best analogy I can come up with: Bag End cabs are like a P bass. They may not sound perfect in a solo setting, but once you get them in a mix they really shine. They don't have all the low end in the world, but they have more than enough to sound great no matter what type of bass, amp, or music I've played.

Oh man, oh man.
TH350 on order, borrowing a Bag End S15-D this weekend from a friend/colleague that "might want to sell it", "borrowing" my dad's Bag End S12-D when I visit next week (I'm happy to pay him for it since he never uses it, but he says he's not ready to sell it... we'll see...)...
I'm so excited. :hyper:
TH350 + S12 + S15 will soon be a reality.

I'm in.

Just added a D10X-D to the collection! That makes a total of 4 BE cabs now. A S15-D, S15B-D, S12_D and the new D10X-D. I think I've become a Bagaholic!!! :hiding: Support group anyone????
Looks like you have a good array of their regular cabs, now I support your ongoing exploration of the Bag End line...ever heard an Invalid Link Removed? That's a religious experience, the deepest tightest bass I've EVER heard!

:p :bassist: :help: :hyper: :hiding:

Did a mod on my BE S15B-D. Loaded an eminence 3015 in place of the EV speaker it came with. Lightened the cab a bit and best of all, REALLY brought the cab to life! Running it and a D10X-D with my Genz Shuttle 12.0. This rig sounds HUGE! Super clean, tight, punchy, focused, etc etc etc X infinity! :smug:

Yeah, it's large and a bit cumbersome to move, and it's definitely not the latest and greatest thing on the market. But it IS one of the best sounding configurations I've ever run through. :hyper::bassist::hyper: Gigging it for the first time tonight. The band has no idea what they're in for! ;)
