Bands that have two bass players

Ronald Shannon Jackson's Decoding Society had Melvin Gibbs and Reverand Bruce Johnson playing bass together for the first several albums.
I am surprised that nobody has mentioned these 2:
The first band I ever saw that had 2 bass players, straight from the summer of love in SF:

Rothko have (or had anyway) twin bassists, I have two of their albums, a continual search for origins & in the pulse of an artery.
They're good. Avant Garde/drone sorta thing.

Huh? I was at one of the Halloween 1978 Zappa concerts (Palladium in NYC) and neither Arthur Barrow nor Shankar were present.
EDIT: Oops, I'm wrong, I was at a 1977 Halloween show, not '78. Sorry, nevermind.
We have a demo 'I Can't Help But Love You' at Link Removed. There are 2 bass tracks; one rhythm and one lead (playing a great hook through the choruses). I recorded these myself, but when we play it live, the male vocalist will play the rhythm bass straight through the PA (with fair results).

Are we talking about Headcat here? He sings (instead of screaming) and plays acoustic guitar sometimes as far as I know. What side project of Lemmy's has two guys including him on bass and where did you read or hear about it?
Hugo Largo from the mid-late 1980's had two bass players and a violin player as well as singer Mimi Goese. I've got their 1988 EP Drum and the subsequent album Mettle that was released in 1989. Michael Stipe of R.E.M. fame produced their EP Drum as well as singing back-up vocals on two songs.

Close, but Trey Gunn played a Warr Guitar, not a Chapman Stick during the "double trio" era of King Crimson. The parts he was playing were more guitar-ish then bass-ish, much more so than had he been playing a stick. Later on, during the ProjeKts and The Power To Believe (with the absence of Bruford and Levin) his parts became more bass-centric.
If I had to choose two of ANY instrument in a band, I'd choose drummer, not bass player. There's something about syncopated playing, and synchronized playing of the drums that just can't be beat. For examples I'd use The Allman Brothers and Genesis (during the sections with Phil Collins and Chester Thompson playing together).
Here's one. Here in Quebec (Canada) they tour a lot in the 90's. Two bass, no guitar and a very beautiful singer
