Bugera Veyron BV1001M gig review

The cab am looking at with this amp .. The ampeg micro svt 210 cab is rated at 8ohms
At 8 ohms do I get half the power as compared to a 4ohm cab?
I mean do I want a 4ohm cab if I want to run a single cabinet and get all the power?
I think the Veyron will get as loud as the little SVT cab can handle. So if you can play your gig with that cab, then the Veyron will work with it.

I haven't ever had any cab before. This is the only one that is easily available here, is light weight and am somewhat familiar with the sound.

But I have no idea if it is loud enough for my needs.

+1 & the SVT210AV is a fairly low power handling cab

Getting two of them would be a wise move then, and even in that case do watch out for audible signs of distress (in which case back off the volume and/or gain and bass knobs accordingly) as mentioned, the head still has the power to blow or fry the speakers regardless of rating standards.

I wanted one of these... Looked at these amps due to the sound reviews and the 2000 watts of pure booty! Was about the pull the trigger to give one of these a go but the last few pages gave me a moral dilemma.... damn....

I am finally coming back to playing bass guitar after a long hiatus. I could use my Motu and Crest 7200 amplifier but would like to have something that is small and portable. So after reading this thread I am thinking this will be my next amp. Will most likely start building a F 15/6/1 cabinet soon also. Did anyone ever find out if the amp has a universal PS?

No universal PS. It's a great amp for the price. Lots of power and punch with a good clean tone.

Some negatives I've found.
-Passive basses sound kind of dark and closed in compared to my GK. It seems that the input resistance/capacitance is not ideal.
-Gain structure is a little touchy with some basses.
-Background hiss might bother some at low volumes.

I'll add to this. If someone that I know on here has a MiniMega, i'll send you my Veyron for you to compare. Maybe you then send them both back to me, and I'll return the MiniMega after beating on it for however long you have the veyron.

Some people need to have some getTogethers with the following amps & pass along the consensus:
Bugera Veyron M
TCE BH800
Mesa D800
Genzler M800
Peavey MiniMega
Glockenklang Blue Rock
Reiner S1200

Thank you all very much for your cooperation!!!
:D
Please add to that the
GK MB800
Ampeg PF800
Aguilar Tone Hammer
MarkBass Little Mark 800
Tech 21 VT-500
Warwick 1000
Orange OB-1

Thanks! Let's make this a shootout!

Hi Guys.
A basic question that I can't seem to find the answer to.
I've read most of the comments about how we don't know what the "watts" are, but can't figure out if this amp is louder than, say my Markbass F1 at 8ohms.
I believe my amp puts outs 300watts at 8homs, and I want something louder, so I have more headroom, and maybe a bit more volume.
The Veyron looks to be ideal, but I can't figure out if it is going to offer the above, or if the marketing hype is covering the fact that it's just a standard D class head that's no louder than the average 500watt head.

Thanks.

I currently own two 500 watt class D amps (Kustom KXB500 & Ashdown MiBass 2.0). I'd consider the KXB500 to be above average in the headroom/volume department. The MiBass? While I love the tones that I can get out of it, the Kustom amp easily appears to have more headroom than the Ashdown offering. At 8 ohms each of the Bugera Veyron amps seem to be more powerful options with the cabs that I have. They definitely have more to offer than the KXB500 and the Ashdown is not even close.....
