well then here is another tease...

This pic makes me hugely nostalgic, in addition to justbeing kind of huge. I have frequently told the story of a Univox lawsuit copy of a Ric bass that I bought to be the backup to my actual Ric 4003. It was so nice that it became my main bass with the real Ric as the backup. And it stayed that way until American Airlines destroyed it.

Your real Ric looks JUST like my fake Ric did, except for the trussrod cover.

It was a free ticket in a private box. And Buck Cherry opened. Josh Todd was in fine fine fine form. I'd probably go see someone giving a concert of fingernails on a chalkboard if it was a free ticket in a private box and it was passed off as music. Once, at least. Maybe not twice.

Hey, you're free to enjoy what you like. Glad you had a great time. Same for Thand. If this floats your boat. Great! Lots of GnR fans out there. Just not my thing.

Are any of you guys Tragically Hip fans? Pretty big Canadian band. Seems like everyone here is in love with them. But for me with the exception of a couple of songs I go "huh?" They just don't do it for me.

Likewise I was not very keen on AC/DC until they came to Toronto and played the huge benefit concert summer after we had a SARS outbreak. They played after Rush and before the Rolling Stones (No pressure!). Got to know a bit more about the band during that time and saw what a great bunch of guys they seemed to be. Respect level went way up and then when they played I thought they blew the Stones away (then again I'm not much of a Stones fan either) and the respect level went way up. They were definitely the best act on stage that night.

For me I guess it's a mix of a bunch of things but it helps if I really like the music for a starting point.

Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to get in trouble with this game? :D

Because you're already in over your head, sweetness. But that's okay, I've got the keys, the life preserver, the bail money, and today, a nasty attitude.

Thank goodness the men of CWB are here as a constant reminder that men everywhere do not suck as a species.
