Being a vintage G&L guy, I don't find the AC headstock offensive in the least.
Looks like home to me.

Saluki: if you swipe Vics bass, the kharma's all on you. You gotta watch that KharmaDawg; it'll getcha;)

I've got my eyes wide open for a used AC that fits my needs and budget.
Back in April, I socerd that Inca5. Sent funds out, watched tracking, like we all do...the day before it got here, I got laid off. Whatev, I survived.
Hadda flip it, which I was lucky enough to do the day I listed it. Whew!

The right bass will land back in my hands given proper patience.

Just messin' with you and Vic. TBer Vic is such a great friend he let me borrow his AC this weekend. It smokes and right now is the only other bass I have GAS pains for. When (not if) I get my AC, I don't care if it looks like Vic's but I sure want it to sound like it.:D

Hello Guys, I guess I need to be next in line for a number!

I have the green signature bass from the AC website coming my way tomorrow! The bass was made for Willie Weeks and used on an Eric Clapton tour..... very cool.

This will be my first AC so I'll let you guys know what I think once it gets here.

Well, I got the bass yesterday and I must say that I am really enjoying it!
First gig with it tonight in OKC, should be fun.

One of the things I like most is that the bass goes from active to passive with no loss in volume.... very useable.

Next bass.... a 5 string version of the same bass..... p body with jazz pickups!

LOL, Chef/Saluki. :)

Chef, we did a dual bass swap the other day to just check stuff out. We do this pretty regularly as we enjoy the fruits of a high level of trust between us. I'm getting to check some pretty damn nice stuff out too. :)

Great to hear! That is a very cool instrument. Maybe post up a live pic or two of you with it.

Vic,

Just played the AC again this mornin' and it is nothing short of fantastic. I love alot of bass tones and don't really have specific tone gaols, but I am blown away by this AC. I was messing around with my MXR auto Q and it was gettin' funky. I love it:bassist:.

Yeah, you gotta' get one someday. There's just nothing like having a "perfect" classic bass.

Here's my pair again.

I changed my strings for the second time on my RA-5 time Friday. I change my strings about every 4-6 months.
I "always" change the battery when I change the strings. I had the battery sitting on the desk to make sure I didn't forget.
I opened the battery compartment tonight and...it had the origianal Danelectro battery than came in the bass still in it....Oops. :o:)
The Danelectro lasted almost 10 months. :D
