Club Alleva Coppolo (Part 8)

It's an amazing axe, as the TB'ers at the last So. Cal Bass Hang can attest to. I'm sure that this is the bass that sealed the deal for YCBass & a few of the other iGig guys to order theirs.

it will be on display @ Bass Player Live in LA 10/24 & 10/25.

To say the least.

I can wait to play it again then!

I just got off the phone with Jimmy and I officially pulled the trigger. I ordered an LM5, natural finish with black guard and satin neck/board. I can't wait!!!

You will NOT be disappointed. TRUST! I swear by my LM5 for EVERYTHING and EVERY genre of music I play.

Im going to put some chromes on it as soon as i get the newer proto 65 pickup

My RA4's neck arrived back from paint (finally). Things are moving forward fast enough that Sebnem wound my pick ups today. I mentioned I'm getting 70's spec pick ups in this one. Please don't ask me what that means exactly... Here's to hoping that I like them

Great hang today with Jonno at his new office, we had a lot of fun A-B'n my new Sadowsky up against some tough competition.

We pumped the Sadowsky and a couple of A-C's thru a TecAmp Puma 1000 into an Epifani 310 NYC, WoW what a sound. All of these basses sounded great, and each had their own vibe going on, but I have to admit, Jonno's LG was KILLER, it

Hey guys, I spent a bit of time at the shop today and placed the order for my bass. After much deliberation I've decided on an LM5 Deluxe - Specs to follow.

This is my first full on custom build down to choosing the wood and I feel very confident that I chose the right builder for it... Excited doesn't begin to explain how I feel.

Also, my boys placed orders this week also - TB'ers Miko Espanol (mikoespanol) ordered an LG5 and Ed Pascual (MAISKESO) with an RA5.

Thanks Dan! I am still pumped right now and it's 1 am here. I gotta settle down cause it's a long wait ahead. At least Jimmy is cool with me stopping by every now and then to see other basses being built... Hopefully it will relieve some pains. And that rosewood board is actually the next best one because Miko got the one I wanted - he ordered his Monday so he got to pick first... But I am real happy with the one I got. I was down to 3 pieces and Jimmy planed them on the spot to help me decide.

Jimmy is such a great guy, he insisted that I choose the body wood even when I told him that the grain didn't matter so much since I was getting a solid color. So I chose 2 pieces that weighed similar and left it at that.

Jonno, did you change the pickguard on your LM?

Yea I Just swapped it with the tort guard on my LG and I dig it...The black on my CAOJ LG looks really cool as well.

Jonno and Gil, did you guys notice any difference between the two LM5's at your hang? I'm going back and forth in my mind about whether I want to stay with the satin neck on my order or change it to a gloss neck. (I believe from the pics that Gil's is satin and Jonno's is gloss, not sure though.) The only LM5 I've played is Ken's which has a satin neck which I love the tone of, but I like the look of the gloss. Any idea if that would change the tone at all?
