Club Sadowsky!!!

I wasn't suggesting that it would be, I was thinking that it would be a good resource for things like the removing the finish from the back of a neck or Roger's suggested specifications for set ups - that kind of thing.
Oh, I see your point. Yeah, it could be good for that, but if a forum of some kind is ultimately desired, it's probably just as easy to simply do that with sticky posts... in the interest of at least trying to serve all needs in "one place", which I think is a good idea.

Dinosaur_Punk....you've made it to the wall....

Wow!! :hyper: Excellent (or should I say, awesome.)

My kids heard me chuckling to myself, and both came to see what had me smiling.

I'm honored, and come to think if it, now that I'm among all these low-frequency luminaries, I'd better go practice a bit more...:hiding: :bassist:

Did I mention how much I love my Sadowsky? Last gig had some curve-balls, and this instrument is like a friend that actually wants me to sound good. I've had many basses that needed, ahem, persuading.

It's got me wondering. Could be LEDs illuminate blocks uniformly?

Thanks guys! I realize it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it quite much! That said, I also enjoy regular or 'coffee table' finishes, which I own as well. I think I'd have to take a group photo of my Sadowsky basses one time soon...

It turns on or off the L.E.D.s. On the back of the control plate, there's a little hole (à la Will Lee) for easy access to a trim pot that controls the brightness of the L.E.D.s.

"Sadowsky forum crashed/I hope everyone is ok with that"

Of course, that's your call.
I will say two things though:

1) a dedicated forum allows individually threaded topics to be searched and contributed to more easily than searching a 50 part mega-thread here, for specific info
2) As you know Roger, your voice as a commercial user is a little limited here. your own forum has "greater freedom of speech" for you, personally, in this case.

Just a couple things to think about.

Cant you guys just carve off a special subforum on TB for roger where the "rules" are more relaxed? Makes no sense to make hum run a bunch of tech instead of peeling him off a tiny piece of yours.

Agreed.

The other thing is, I didn't even think of a Sadowsky sponsored area here like madbassplaya brought up, which, honestly, might even be the best solution overall. We wouldn't have to keep doing "new ones" every 1K posts (at least as I understand it), and I think it does significantly relax the CUPS right?

I agree, and I hadn't though of it either.

Roger already had a sposored forum prior to his own forum. The only problem would be that guitarrists would be left out.

I used to check his forum every day. I was going to update one of my threads when I noticed that it was gone.

IMO, even if it doesn't have much activity, a forum is a good tool for the company. There is a world of musicians outside Talkbass and many of them happen to like Sadowsky .

Who's doing your side LEDs if you don't mind me asking? Probably too late for me at this point since I hope I'm on the home stretch and I just want to play the beast, but...

I have a build a build with Roger and Co. I believe they send it out to SIMs in the UK if I'm not mistaken.
