I'm starting to fade. I'm going to stumble off toward bed. Good night all.
Quiet crowd today. How's everyone doing? I'm getting ready to head back for home in the wee hours of dawn tomorrow morning. Can't wait to be back home.
Playing bass. Halfway through a song, pain started shooting up my finger from my knuckle to my hand.

I am glad you got to enjoy our almost spring like weather.
Cool
Crisp
Light jacket
No Sweat
No Humidity
(Cold Rain and Cloudy Skies ... I have to find the soundtrack)
You Ain't Playing Hard Enough If You Aren't Bleeding...
Been there.
Blood on your bass is good.
As long as it's your bass and your blood.
Quick check in, here was my day.
My volunteer job finished, but they will lay more on me since I get stuff done. That's ok though.
I am loving the weather. Today was beautiful.
I worked my @$$ off today, I had so much to do, I got confused, but I just made a list and banged it out as best I could. Tomorrow will be like that, but it's ok.
I had a wonderful compliment from one of my volunteers on a thank you note I wrote. I like to write well, but some occasions require extra effort on writing. You don't get many sincere compliments in life.
I had a great night at the Thursday Jam, and felt like I was in the pocket, on the One, but free to do what I wanted. Works for me.
My old guitar player gave me a compliment that makes my year, if not my life:
I was in a cover band, now imploded, a year ago November and we did a Pink Breast Cancer fundraiser. No pay but I'll play for that. My friend Bobby said to me tonight that he showed up about 5 mins after we started, but he thought I was -on- and he had never heard me play better. I thought that was a very nice thing to say.
Of course, for once I wasn't playing bass for him, but he was in the audience, and all that drill on TB about tone, and pocket and support and play to the song has become second nature, I fired it all up and had a great night. I am always at my best live.
So, he got to hear what I have been giving him
(for years), from the back of the room and it blew him away.
Well, he never told me this before tonight. A lot of people tell you "Hey, you sounded great" and it's bar rhetoric, everyone sounds great at 12 midnight.
When a very skilled and accomplished player that I have supported since 1977 -sporadically- finally busted out a compliment, I have to cherish that one.
I have a secret. My day is coming soon.
I got a lot done today on many levels. Not sure I can keep up the pace.
My buddy sent me a zappos 20% off coupon, he can get then anytime to hook up to an email. I can hook CWB up on the side, but, we gotta have shoe pics upon arrival.
You know the drill.
Back sometime soon.![]()

Oh, and the new Clement is really nice, too!![]()
