Very nice Mr Crow!
I got a new baby picture today. February can't hardly come soon enough. Mike, you'll get to try this one out at boot camp. You'll be ready for fretless 5 by then, right?

Bought a new bass on TB last night; hopefully will be delivered next week.

I had an Alembic Epic 5 back in the 90's. Shattered my wrist (2 operations, 12 wks in a cast, 4 screws & a plate) left me with very limited movement and I sold the Epic and stopped playing for a while. It will be good to have another one.
Love the wood on your project Tat. Looks a lot like my new addition; burly instead of birdseye..

Mike - before we leave Reading, you'll be playing 12 bar blues on it and GASing for one.

beautiful wood Tat...are you sure it has to be fretless? If it had frets I could play it and....
Tat, that is SO gorgeousfretless 5er is one of my favorites. My Zon TJ6 being built has a quilted spalted top. I like yours better !! Congrats
I know! You can give her a go in Reading when you're up there. I know you'll want to.wow!![]()
Hmm.
Maybe.

Yeah - it's gotta be fretless. I think if you tried it, you'd like it.![]()

That was me. So, a CWB with sexy radio voice? Superb.
Hey everyone, just checking in. Nice to see everyone is still doing well.
I have not been checking in much, the last month of my life has been probably one of the most challenging that I could ever imagine, and has been a living nightmare.
In any case, on a lighter note, I've decided that I need to move over to a good quality 5 string, but wanted something "traditional", if there is such a thing. And I am a big Carvin fan, so tonight I'm meeting fellow TB'er Basswave and taking this little smoker off his hands;

Again, glad to see everyone is okay.
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Been a little busy, daughter's b-day, in-laws in town, lots of family and kids, left me not much time for much else. Band found a new singer, she's awesome!
FM, you and I together are dangerous for sure, but in a really good way.
Tat, I'll be keeping an eye on fb and cell for updates.
Chuck - I'm honored, and I expect video once the song is learned.
MB and DT - saw that you posted videos, will have a listen when I have a little time to get out the headphones and listen carefully.
Nice pics, Thor and DT. Thor, looking uber-cool as usual, and love that big smile, DT!
Urgh..day started out ok. Bike crapped out on me on the way home from work, and then I get an email from the singer chick saying that she has to quit. BAH!! I need a beer.
I'll second that!Hee hee...pretty slick C3. You get an "atta boy"
Could be worse, DT. You know how to turn your own wrench and you have other bikes to ride....life is good.
Three laws of mechanics: Law 1: If it can break, it will. Law 2: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Law 3: When in doubt, get a bigger hammer.
I was a Harley dealership mechanic from 1979 to 1986 (AMI grad where they taught us, "Lucus was the inventor of darkness"; owning a Triumph I know you understand this) while going back to school to get my mechanical engineering degree.
Good night folks...5:30 comes early. I truly enjoy this little refuge of virtual reality we have created and share. Thank all of you.
I'm trying to learn at least one song per day. Today I tackled two chestnuts that I'm sure all of you here have played a billion times. (I know that I have as a drummer...)
First was "Hey Joe", I have that very solid and I'm already screwing around with it. The other is Brown eyed girl which I've almost nailed. I know that these are stupidly simple, but I'm never gotten around to messing with them. They both have fairly specific parts that you have to play and that's why I've targeted them.
Random... My district is erasing all our hard drives!?! This couldn't wait till Saturday? I wonder what crazy stuff they found now
If you search Nancy Sebring and DSM schools you'll probably get the humor in this.
Good morning all![]()
Five string and fretless? No, I likely won't be ready at all for that. But I'll hold it and run my hands over it's sexy curves. (And wish that I could play it...)

That blows. I lift one with you though.
Thank you! I'm loving what I got with this one one. Can't wait to have my hands on her. Do you have pics of the Zon in build? I've seen a few spalted quilts - some cool; some not so, but still interesting to look at.
