David Nordschow Amplification

Hmmmmm,
After reading this, and the numerous previous ones on this individual, it begs the question as to how David and Lane made the decision to use this guy in their management team. Makes you wonder how this guy ingratiated himself into being offered this position? Does anyone here actually know David? - Would love to get his take on this.

I wonder how David hired EITHER of them, actually, after all the BS that has been spread by BOTH of them. And that Mike guy...

I just hope he'll get his just desserts...

Actually, the truth is always a great defense. If I get a chance to talk to David about this upcoming company, its products, and the people involved, I will do my best to report the real skinny.

Great, I certainly hope you do. And I certainly hope David gets his new company back to it's former glory.

But...not likely with that crew. Nothing good will come of that, IMHO.

Cheers,
Cameron

I think that DNA is aware of this thread as LaneOnBass was logged in at 12:27 today. From his profile:

Well done; excellent bit of intelligence gathering
For a protege' of Carol Kaye and self proclaimed bass ambasador for Rick Turner, he's only posted 13 times in 5 1/2 years on what is arguably the largest bass forum in the world.
Hmmm.

"40 years experience
30 years teaching
Protege of Carol Kaye"

I don't read anything into that. Some people are not into
posting on forums. Some are shy. Some just like their privacy.

There are tons of lurkers here who hardly ever post. It is not
uncommon for a 2 page thread in basses, 80 posts to have
between 5000-10,000 views. That's a LOT of people who
don't post. Many have lots of experience. YMMV.

All that means is he could "POSSIBLY" be playing bass rather than hanging on TB.

Protege of Carol Kaye is kind of "arrogant" though:rollno:

God Bless, Ray

BTW, did any of you guys get the e-mail from BMW (I think it was in 2008) requesting donations to him for his own situation?

Nope, but I did get one from him requesting donations for The owner of (Mark I beleive) Accugroove at one point. Claimed that the guy had had health issues that weren't made public. Further stated that he was gathering funds to directly benefit Mark. I've no idea whether Mark had actual health problems or if there was ever a fund that was given to help him. For all I know, Mike contacting me on this issue might have been completely legit. I don't mean to cast aspersion one way or another here.

I wonder if we ought to start a thread to see how many differing charities he tried to collect for there are?

On a more directly related note, it is nice to see David getting back into the amp biz again. While Edens weren't my thing (a bit too much tube like bloom for my tastes), they were certainly a quality entry. Well, they were till the whole sale fiasco. I'd personally love to see Dave Funk team up with him. From what I understand, they are both acquainted with one another and share some similar views on amp design.

PS: Mods, if this isn't kosher in some way, please accept my apologies.

Yeah, I got sucked into that scam too. :rollno:

On the other hand a FunkSchow amp would be well worth listening to. At least once!

:D

Different time zones, I am guessing?

Last activity is only good if someone doesnt log back on and off again before we look at it.....

+1

some threads get literally thousands of views with only 50 posts..... Ive gotten PM's from classifieds from people with 8 feedbacks but only 10 posts in 5 years.....

I only worry when I see the brand new join pumping a new product or company.....

I got a couple of phone calls today about this issue.... if DN wasn't aware of the situation this morning... he is now....

OP: how did you find that website to begin with?

I see that the website has now disappeared. Lane PM'd me this morning with a way to late apology for how I was treated by him. I guess I don't want anything to do with thier new stuff, if it becomes a reality. Not with him in charge.

I think Lane's gonna' make one hell of a car salesman!

Or the same old (apparent) shills. Funny how a certain crowd always seems to move on to the next hot brand at the same time, or appear as rabid apologists for the same boondoggles.

Kudos to you for saying what needed to be said. Doesn't happen nearly enough around here, and when it does people usually get shat on for it.

Our favourite fundraiser is no long associated with the company, according to a thread J-IIX just posted. Apparently that happened before this thread came to being.

me too.. and way too late...

Those emails from Lane are SO late they would be more insulting and pathetic to receive than nothing at all...

I totally disagree.

Sometimes it takes a while...even years...for some people to apologize.

We all know plenty of them. :hmm:

Ultimately he did the right thing. But sometimes the longer it takes for you to apologize the longer it takes to have impact.

:D
