A rare bird. Anybody know how many Dbirds were made before the party was shut down?

Its this one I've attached. And I really do love it, but I'm finding more and more that I just love jazz basses far too much. I have a older Fender American jazz and a Sadowsky jazz that I love, and I'd love to have Dingwall's take as I hear they are some of the best around.Which AB2 is that?
darn curiosity

This is one of the very few ABIIs I've seen with a maple neck. Reinstalling the glock pre as I had put a Darkglass in to try.
It's a maple burl top with flame maple contrast layer. I'm the second owner, so I'm reaching out to Dingwall to be 100% sure on that. What top wood is that?
Tough to tell 100% by the photo but that sounds right to me.It's a maple burl top with flame maple contrast layer. I'm the second owner, so I'm reaching out to Dingwall to be 100% sure on that.
My “price is right” wager at a guess:A rare bird. Anybody know how many Dbirds were made before the party was shut down?
I’ve been known to spout nonsense but There really wasn’t that many made. I could even be on the high sideMy mistake on the names! I was thinking D Birds were Canadian-made only for some reason. (Even though Ian stated it was a D Bird!) I didn't think there were that few of them either.
My “price is right” wager at a guess:
5- 5 string custom shop?
30- 4 string custom shop?
150- 4 string production?

Yes.... sorry man. There is a fellow on the forum who has a beauty Pelham(?) blue one. A gold(?)one for NAMM. I saw a 2 tone one on eBay in Japan.....Did any 5 string D-Birds ever see the light of day? (just say no so I don't spend the next 10 years trying to find one)
Aweful close tobmy school colors. If so, I would have needed to hunt that one down....
It wasn’t all that long ago it went through ebay. It sure was tempting but as usual it was priced insanely high in Japan and it did have some road wear IIRCAweful close tobmy school colors. If so, I would have needed to hunt that one down....
Either way, that is one badass instrument.
Mopar NG-3 showed up as promised today, very happy.
Billy from the shop told me there were about 100 D-Bird Standards made. There can’t be many more than a dozen D-Bird Customs, I’d imagine.A rare bird. Anybody know how many Dbirds were made before the party was shut down?
