If it arrives on time, I'll be able to use it on the video clip for my band ^^

And I am in love with my Dingwalls

EDIT:it may be an old Dingwall but I just received it. And older Dingwalls allow me to realize the "Dingwall tone trip" from past to present (only Sheldon knows what the future holds...)

My passive Dingwall Afterburner II arrived today. Thanks to Beaver Felton and the previous owner for making this happen. This thing is lighter than some of my guitars!

What's the hole beneath the lower bout for?

Is this a used bass? There was a strap system that used a button in that position as well as the usual strap buttons that takes some of the weight off the shoulders and puts in on the waist belt.

Really? That's unique. Yes, it's used. I'm wondering if the former owner is in this group. I'm just floored by the sound of this bass. I first tried it out in the store when I visited Orlando last month.

Lomo is/was one of the original Dingwall club members...IIRC, he was part of the original Yahoo Dingwall group.

To any SJ5 owners what strings have you used/are using?

You guys are correct on that orange passive Afterburner II; it was Lomo's. I have played it and it's a beautiful bass. Yes, the hole button thing on the bottom is for a strap support.

I still have the stock DR Low Riders (stainless) on my SJ5. I have some nickel ones waiting to go on eventually. I think Sheldon was using Dunlop strings for a while and I read him say that he has his own strings for it now that should be available soon.
