i ran the Payson reduced core nickel and followed up with the med light in nickel. I had a slight preference for the reduced core, but I liked both sets. Plus, excellent customer service! Perfect for the longscale Dingwalls.
Since I have only one bass, the Super PJ, its the DR Pure Blues in the lightest guages, strung E-C. I think that's .100 to .030. Action is extremely low and the strings are on the slinky side of things. Next up, a new set of TI flats, E-C. Hopefully, it won't need too much intonation and I'll be able to switch back and forth. I'll soak the DR's in my tube.

So here's a question for you Payson string "experts". I bought a set from a local player but they don't have any model information on the package - like RC's or PFNS mentioned in this thread. On the package it says Payson Fanned Nickel Steel Bass Strings. 37"-34" Tapered. .130T.105T .85T .65T .45T and that's it. Are these an older product? Are the RC and PFNS models new products? Any idea what version I have?
My full rig at rehearsal again last night... finally thought to take a photo for folks. This setup kicks such a ridiculous amount of ass it isn't even funny. That QSC K12 is top notch and works so wonderfully well with a modeling setup. I don't think I could be any happier with my setup right now.

You have the PFNS-RC set, Lotusland. That is unless someone held on to an old set from years ago. But you most likely have the most current version.

Yup, Duo24. I use a rolling SKB case for it - the SKB case is "too large", but I keep my cable bag, tools, spare batteries and such in the same rolling case. So, my load in is Dingwall on my back in the Dingwall gig bag, K12 in one hand, rolling SKB case in the other.

I still have some work to do on the cabling. I'm going to make a different power cable for the B7K and have it run underneath, as well as the AX8, then have a small power stip under there with a long extension cord in the case. It'll look cleaner once I'm done.

My NG2 is in hand. I took it out of the box and went straight to band rehearsal, no setup. It was all ready to rock (with an alt country band)!
It does not have the updated routes, rounded pickups, etc. To be fair, I ordered it a few days before the NAMM announcement, but I was still really hoping for the new version. My dealer didn't even know what I was getting or when those will start coming in.
It's still awesome, and green!

Soundman/Promoter/Agent Mark Sparks (Sparky), who mixes sound all over the US, with a bass pro checking out a couple of Dingwalls at the Four State Guitar Show. I got to meet Vince Gill!

At least it landed me a pic with Vince Gill.
Here is the bassist of a local blues band. She also owns the Springfield School of Rock. Several of her students also dropped by. She called me the devil of temptation because she didn't want to put the Dingwall down. Note the "Dingwall Smile".
Especially since that green one matches her scarf! Of course, the blue one would as well.

HA! She got about 15 compliments on the matching bass and scarf. She also seemed to draw a crowd of the male artists giving out said complements who only moments before had not yet complemented the bass. Hmmmn...
