While I love the look and sound of my Fender PJ, I feel like Ibanez might always be "my brand." Between the light weight, easy-to-play neck, 24 fret scale, and beautiful-but-not-distracting wood choices, they hit a lot of my preferences.

A very pretty Rapture a fellow here sold me. Just arrived today - looks gorgeous, plays very nice - not to heavy (for a 5 string) but I do think I will need to dial in the pickup height a bit - the P p'ups is WAY hotter than the J - need some *balance*.

At this point I'd have to say Lakland, MTD.. and Peavey. Each one of those basses has their own special "something" that really floats my boat. Of course all that could change with trying another bass.. but for now thse are my preferred builds. It is an ongoing work in progress but I cane to this route via Fender, Schecter and Ibanez...

Although, I wouldn't describe it as 'brand loyalty' as such. I don't own 3 Warwicks just because they are Warwicks, and I would not be averse to owning another brand of bass as well. It's just that they sound and feel right to me at the moment.

I can enjoy any brand if its a good bass, well setup, with something similar to XL lights on it.

G&L. I would also like to get my hands on a Reverend. I have one of their USA made guitars, but I can't say how their basses are since I've never played one.

No brand pattern is evident. Three basses, three brands. If I got another, I might just as likely design and put it together myself.

I actually was thinking about this question on my way to work this AM... I've had...
6 Fenders
5 Zons
4 EBMMs
3 Laklands
3 Warmoths
2 Alembics
And a whole bunch of single examples - Dan Armstrong, Gibson, Peavey, G&L, Kramer, Sadowsky, Charvel and now Pedulla. So yeah, I was a Fender guy for a while there. I got over it.

any and all. I love cheap off brands, expensive name brands, I predominately like 35" scale and as narrow of nut as possible, but Ill play just about any configuration of bass. I prefer stainless steel strings and hate flats, but Ill play on em if I get paid to.

I'm not a brand person, but I own 3 Sadowskys, more than any other.

I'm more of a type person: 7 of my 8 basses have P-style bodies, and 5 of them have P-bass pickups. So yeah, I'm a P-bass guy.
